Abstract
Disclosed is a method for producing an unsaturated hydrocarbon compound wherein an α-olefin is dimerized by using a catalyst system composed of a metallocene compound (A) and an oxygen-containing organometallic compound modified with a halogen-containing compound (B). By this method, an unsaturated hydrocarbon compound having unsaturated double bonds in a high ratio, in particular the one having a terminal vinylidene group can be produced efficiently.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of producing an unsaturated hydrocarbon compound, comprising:
dimerizing an α-olefin in the presence of a catalyst, wherein the catalyst comprises a metallocene compound (A) and an oxygen-containing organometallic compound modified with a halogen-containing compound (B).
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the compound (B) is a compound of formula (2), a compound of formula (3), or a mixture thereof:
wherein R 8 to R 14 are each independently an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms,
A 1 to A 5 are each independently a metal element of Group 13 of the periodic table,
each of h to k is independently from 0 to 50, and
each of (h+i) and (j+k) are greater than 1.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the halogen-containing compound is a halogenated alkylaluminum compound, a halogenated hydrocarbon compound, or a mixture thereof.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the halogenated alkylaluminium compound is of formula (4):
