Abstract

The present invention provides a catechol-based derivative and a pharmaceutical acceptable salt therefrom and a solvate therefrom. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating diabetes and ischemia, comprising a catechol-based derivative of formula (I) and at least one selected from the group consisting of a pharmaceutical excipient, a diluent and a carrier.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A catechol-based derivative obtaining from one of a compound of formula (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof:

         wherein R 1  and R 2  are independently selected from the group consisting of H, —OR, —NO 2 , —NH 2  and a halogen;
         R in the —OR is one selected from the group consisting of H, (C 1 -C 6 )alkyl, (CH 2 ) n Ph and SO 3   − ;
         R 3  is one of O and S;
         R 4  is N;
         X and Y form a structure being one selected from the group consisting of (C 2 -C 3 )alkyl, (C 2 -C 3 )alkenyl, (C 2 -C 3 )alkynyl and —OCH 2 —;
         R 5 -R 4 -R 6  forms a cyclic structure selected from the group consisting of:

         wherein m is an integer from 2-6.

         2 . The catechol-based derivative as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the two R 1 substituents of the benzene ring form the following structure:

         3 . A pharmaceutical composition for treating type II diabetes, comprising a catechol-based derivative of claim 1 and at least one selected from the group consisting of a pharmaceutical excipient, a diluent and a carrier.

         4 . A pharmaceutical composition for treating ischemia, comprising a catechol-based derivative of claim 1 and at least one selected from the group consisting of a pharmaceutical excipient, a diluent and a carrier.

         5 . A method for treating type II diabetes, comprising a step of administering to a subject a therapeutically effective amount of a catechol-based derivative of claim 1 .

         6 . A method for treating ischemia, comprising a step of administering to a subject a therapeutically effective amount of a catechol-based derivative of claim 1 .
