Abstract

A system for attaching a shoe to a skateboard is described. An interlocking structure attached to the shoe substantially prevents vertical and/or lateral movement of the shoe in relation the skateboard when the interlocking structure is pressed against another interlocking structure. The interlocking structures may register in a plurality of vertical and/or lateral positions. One or both of the interlocking structures may comprise a plurality of protrusions of a pointed or rounded shape.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An interlocking shoe, comprising:
a shoe having a first interlock structure attached to an outer portion thereof, the first interlock structure comprising a plurality of protrusions configured to substantially prevent vertical movement or to substantially prevent lateral movement of the shoe in relation to a second interlock structure when the first interlock structure is transversely pressed against the second interlock structure, and wherein the first interlock structure and the second interlock structure can register in a plurality of lateral positions or vertical positions.

2 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the first interlock structure is substantially permanently attached to the outer portion with an adhesive or stitching.

3 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the first interlock structure is releasably attached to the outer portion with hook and loop fasteners.

4 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the first interlock structure is integral to at least part of the outer portion.

5 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of protrusions comprise a plurality of substantially pyramidal shapes.

6 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of protrusions comprise a plurality of substantially hemispherical shapes.

7 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the plurality protrusions comprise a plurality of substantially triangular shapes.

8 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the protrusions of the first interlock structure comprises a plurality of substantially semicircular or semispherical shapes.

9 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of protrusions are arranged in a vertically or laterally repeating pattern.

10 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the first and second interlock structures are substantially complementary.

11 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the first interlock structure is distally attached to an outer portion of the shoe.

12 . The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the first interlock structure is proximally attached to an outer portion of the shoe.

13 . An interlocking shoe, comprising:
a shoe comprising a first interlock structure on an outer portion of the shoe; the first interlock structure configured to engage a second interlock structure so as to substantially prevent vertical movement, lateral movement, or both when the first interlock structure is transversely pressed and maintained against the second interlock structure by a transverse movement of the shoe by a user, wherein the first interlock structure is configured to disengage the second interlock structure when transverse pressure by the user is discontinued.

14 . The shoe of claim 13 , wherein the first interlock structure and the second interlock structure can register in a plurality of lateral or a plurality of vertical positions.

15 . The shoe of claim 13 , wherein the first and second interlock structures are substantially complementary.

16 . The shoe of claim 13 , wherein the first interlock structure is distally attached to an outer portion of the shoe.

17 . The shoe of claim 13 , wherein the first interlock structure is proximally attached to an outer portion of the shoe.

18 . The shoe of claim 13 , wherein the first interlock structure comprises a plurality of protrusions.

19 . The shoe of claim 18 , wherein the plurality protrusions comprise a plurality of substantially triangular shapes.
