Abstract

A method for enhancing receiving efficiency of a multimedia broadcast multicast service, know as MBMS, in a wireless communications system includes setting an indicator for indicating whether an MBMS service is transmitted on an MBSFN, an abbreviation of MBMS over a Single Frequency Network, carrier or not, and sending the indicator to a user equipment of the wireless communications system.

         11 . A method for enhancing receiving efficiency of a multimedia broadcast multicast service, (MBMS), in network terminal of a wireless communications system, the method comprising:
 creating an MBMS service;   determining a carrier frequency for transmitting the MBMS service; and   sending the carrier frequency for the MBMS service to a user equipment (UE), of the wireless communications system via an MBMS user service announcement and discovery mechanism.   
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the MBMS service is transmitted via a single frequency network (SFN).

         16 . A communications device used in network terminal of a wireless communications system for enhancing receiving efficiency of a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS), the communications device comprising:
 a control circuit for realizing functions of the communications device;   a central processing unit coupled to the control circuit for executing a program code to opera to the control circuit; and   a memory coupled to the central processing unit for storing the program code;   wherein the program code comprises:
 creating an MBMS service; 
 determining a carrier frequency for transmitting the MBMS service; and 
 sending the carrier frequency for the MBMS service to a user equipment (UE), of the wireless communications system via an MBMS user service announcement and discovery mechanism. 
   
     
     
         17 . The communications device of  claim 16 , wherein the MBMS service is transmitted via a single frequency network (SFN).

         21 . A method for enhancing receiving efficiency of a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) in a user equipment (UE) of a wireless communications system, the method comprising:
 receiving a carrier frequency for transmitting an MBMS service of a single frequency network to a UE is an MBMS user service announcement and discovery mechanism;   selecting the MBMS service for reception; and   monitoring and receiving a notification of the MBMS service on the carrier frequency.   
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein the MBMS service is transmitted via a singe frequency network (SFN). 
     
     
         23 . A communications device used in a user equipment (UE) of a wireless communications system for enhancing receiving efficiency of a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS), the communications device comprising:
 a control circuit for realizing functions of the communications device;   a central processing unit coupled to the control circuit for executing a program code to operate the control circuit; and   a memory coupled to the central processing unit for storing the program code;   wherein the program code comprises:
 receiving a carrier frequency for transmitting an MBMS service of a single frequency network to a UE via an MBMS user service announcement and discovery mechanism; 
 selecting the MBMS service for reception; and 
 monitoring and receiving a notification of the MBMS service on the carrier frequency. 
   
     
     
         24 . The communications device of  claim 23 , wherein the MBMS service is transmitted via a single frequency network (SFN).
