Claims

Abstract

This communicator makes it possible for the user to do telephone, facsimile, and data communication at any location. On a pen input device, a space eye, a telephone control system, a facsimile control system, and a data transmission system are mounted. All of them are operated by an input pen or the space eye. The pen input device is connected to a wireless telephone equipment, and can be connected to a desired party through the public communication channel. In order to make the most of the equipment of a GPS user, the GPS user device is connected to the pen input device. The current location of the GPS user is found through the GPS user device, and the data on the current location is transmitted to the party.

1 . A portable wireless communication apparatus comprising;
 a wireless communication device that is capable of wirelessly connecting to a public communication channel and is capable of conducting a transmission or reception through the communication channel;   a CPU that is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, is capable of receiving data from the communication channel through the wireless communication device, and is capable of transmitting data to the communication channel through the wireless communication device;   a housing including a battery, a display, the wireless communication device and the CPU;   a detection device that detects a remaining capacity of the battery; and   a remaining capacity indication device that indicates information representing the remaining capacity of the battery detected by the detection device on the display in forms of both a design and numerical values.   
     
     
         2 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the remaining capacity indication device indicates 0% and 100% as the numerical values.   
     
     
         3 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 2 ,
 wherein the remaining capacity indication device indicates the design between the indication of 0% and the indication of 100%.   
     
     
         4 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 3 ,
 wherein the remaining capacity indication device indicates a bar graph as the design.   
     
     
         5 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 4 ,
 wherein the bar graph includes a plurality of bar-like designs, and   wherein the remaining capacity indication device indicates the plurality of bar-like designs constituting the bar graph in a side-by-side arrangement on the display, such that the bar-like designs are displayed in a manner corresponding to a level of the remaining capacity of the battery detected by the detection device.   
     
     
         6 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 5 ,
 wherein each of the plurality of bar-like designs constituting the bar graph has a different size.   
     
     
         7 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 6 ,
 wherein the remaining capacity indication device indicates a larger number of bar-like designs on the display as the remaining capacity of the battery is larger.   
     
     
         8 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the remaining capacity indication device indicates a larger design on the display as the remaining capacity of the battery is larger.   
     
     
         9 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the remaining capacity indication device indicates a remaining capacity rate of the battery by the design.   
     
     
         10 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the detection device performs a process of estimating the remaining capacity of the battery at predetermined time intervals based on at least a voltage of the battery.   
     
     
         11 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the remaining capacity indication device indicates the information representing the remaining capacity of the battery in an updating manner at predetermined time intervals.   
     
     
         12 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 1 , further comprising a state indication device that indicates, adjacent to the information representing the remaining capacity of the battery, information representing whether or not the apparatus is capable of receiving data via the wireless communication device. 
     
     
         13 . A portable wireless communication apparatus comprising;
 a wireless communication device that is capable of wirelessly connecting to a public communication channel and is capable of conducting a transmission or reception through the communication channel;   a CPU that is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, is capable of receiving data from the communication channel through the wireless communication device, and is capable of transmitting data to the communication channel through the wireless communication device;   a housing including an antenna, a speaker, a microphone, a battery, a display the wireless communication device and the CPU;   a detection device that detects a remaining capacity of the battery at predetermined time intervals; and   a remaining capacity indication device that indicates information representing the remaining capacity of the battery detected by the detection device in a form of a graph on the display in an updating manner at the predetermined time intervals.   
     
     
         14 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 13 ,
 wherein the remaining capacity indication device also indicates a numerical value that enables a user to recognize a remaining capacity rate of the battery on the display.   
     
     
         15 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 13 ,
 wherein the remaining capacity indication device indicates the information representing the remaining capacity of the battery detected by the detection device in a form of a bar graph.   
     
     
         16 . The portable wireless communication apparatus according to  claim 13 , further comprising a state indication device that indicates, adjacent to the information representing the remaining capacity of the battery, information representing whether or not the apparatus is capable of receiving data via the wireless communication device.
