Abstract

The present invention relates to a laundry machine having a structure of suspension assembly, which buffers the vibration and supports the drum. The supporting suspension assembly includes at least three suspensions ( 500, 510, 520 ) arranged in a triangle. The spring constant of the rear suspension ( 500 ) can be smaller than the spring constant of the front suspensions ( 510, 520 ).

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A laundry machine comprising:
a drum in which laundry is to be placed; a drive assembly including a shaft connected to the drum, a bearing housing to rotatably support the shaft, and a motor to rotate the shaft; a suspension assembly to reduce vibration of the drum, the suspension assembly including at least 3 suspensions which are arranged in triangle, 2 of which are located before a weight center of an assembly of the drum and the drive assembly, and the other of which is located behind the weight center.

2 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the 3 suspensions support for the assembly of the drum and the drive assembly to stand alone.

3 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a distance between the rear suspension and the center is smaller than a distance between the two front suspensions and the center.

4 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a spring force upward exerted by the rear suspenison is greater than a total spring force upward exerted by the front 2 suspensions.

5 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a spring constant of the rear suspension is smaller than a net spring constant of the front 2 suspensions, with respect to an up-and-down direction.

6 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the spring constant of the rear suspension is smaller than a spring constant of one of the front 2 suspensions.

7 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the net spring constant of the front 2 suspensions are equal to or greater than twice of the spring constant of the rear suspension.

8 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a compressed amount of the rear suspension is different from the ones of the front 2 suspensions.

9 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the rear suspension is compressed more than the front 2 suspensions are.

10 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the rear suspension is compressed more than the front 2 suspensions are when they are initially installed.

11 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the 3 suspensions are spring dampers and placed vertically.

12 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the suspension assembly is attached to the bearing housing.

13 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising:
a flexible material to prevent the water inside the tub from leaking toward the drive assembly and allow the drive assembly to move relatively to the tub.

14 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the tub is supported more rigidly than the drum is.
