Image forming apparatus to set optimal print options for test prints of primitive images and method thereof

Abstract

An image forming apparatus and a method of forming an image in an image forming apparatus are proceed. The image forming apparatus, comprising: an image data processing part to create a plurality of test images using a primitive image, an image print part to print the created plurality of test images, an input part to receive a selection of one of the plurality of printed test images, and a control part to set the print options set of the selected test image as print options of the primitive image.

1 . An image forming apparatus, comprising:
 an image data processing part to create a plurality of test images using a primitive image;   an image print part to print the created plurality of test images;   an input part to receive a selection of one of the plurality of printed test images; and   a control part to set print options of a selected test image as print options of the primitive image,   wherein the plurality of the test images area created by different sets of print options.   
     
     
         2 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the image data processing part converts the primitive image according to the print options set by the control part,
 wherein the image print part prints the primitive image converted by the image data processing part on a paper.   
     
     
         3 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the print options include at least one of an image brightness, a background brightness, a color, and a resolution of the primitive image. 
     
     
         4 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a display part to display a list of predetermined sets of print options,   wherein the input part receives a selection of a set of a plurality of print options to be applied to a test image from among the predetermined sets of print options,   wherein the image data processing part creates a plurality of test images regarding a primitive image using the selected sets of print options.   
     
     
         5 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 4 , wherein the display part displays a plurality of print options,
 wherein the input part receives a selection of at least one of the displayed plurality of print options,   wherein the control unit sets the selected plurality of print options as predetermined set of print options.   
     
     
         6 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the image print part prints the plurality of test images on a single sheet of paper. 
     
     
         7 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 6 , further comprising:
 a display part to display a list of a plurality of layouts regarding the plurality of test images;   wherein the input part receives a selection of one of the displayed layouts,   wherein the image print part prints the plurality of the test images according to the selected layout.   
     
     
         8 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the primitive image is one of a scanned image, an image corresponding to fax data, and an image corresponding to printing data. 
     
     
         9 . A method of forming an image in an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:
 creating a plurality of test images using a primitive image;   printing the created plurality of test images;   receiving a selection of one of the plurality of printed test images; and   setting print options of the selected test image as print options of the primitive image,   wherein the plurality of the test images are created by different sets of print options.   
     
     
         10 . The method according to  claim 9 , further comprising:
 converting the primitive image according to the set print options; and   printing the converted primitive on a paper.   
     
     
         11 . The method according to  claim 9 , wherein the print options include at least one of an image brightness, a background brightness, a color, and a resolution of the primitive image. 
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 9 , further comprising:
 displaying a list of predetermined sets of print options;   receiving a selection set of a plurality of print options to be applied to a test image from among the predetermined sets of print options,   wherein the creating creates a plurality of test images regarding a primitive image using the selected sets of print options.   
     
     
         13 . The method according to  claim 12 , further comprising:
 displaying a plurality of print options,   receiving a selection of at least one of the displayed plurality of print options,   setting the selected plurality of print options as a predetermined set of print options.   
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 9 , wherein the printing the created plurality of test images comprises printing the created plurality of test images on a single sheet of paper. 
     
     
         15 . The method according to  claim 14 , further comprising:
 displaying a list of a plurality of layouts regarding the plurality of test images;   receiving a selection of one of the displayed layouts,   wherein the printing the created plurality of test images prints the created plurality of test images according to the selected layout.   
     
     
         16 . The method according to  claim 9 , wherein the primitive image is one of a scanned image, an image corresponding to fax data, and an image corresponding to printing data.
