Abstract

Disclosed is a method for screening a medicine using a protein, and a compound obtained by the screening method. A compound or a salt thereof inhibiting activity or expression of the protein of the present invention, a neutralizing antibody against the protein, a polynucleotide that are complementary to a polynucleotide coding the protein, and the like can be used as an agent for preventing and/or treating neurodegenerative diseases and the like. Moreover, a compound or a salt thereof enhancing activity or expression of the protein of the present invention, the protein or a partial peptide thereof, a polynucleotide coding the protein, and the like can be used as an agent for preventing and/or treating cancers and the like. Furthermore, the protein of the present invention is useful as a reagent for screening a compound inhibiting or enhancing activity of the protein.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An isolated protein consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 9 or 30, or a homologue thereof that is at least 95% homologous to said sequence.

2 . A polynucleotide comprising the nucleotide sequence encoding the isolated protein according to claim 1 .

3 . The polynucleotide according to claim 2 , comprising the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 12 or 27.

4 . A recombinant vector comprising the polynucleotide according to claim 2 .

5 . A transformant obtained by transforming a host cell with the recombinant vector according to claim 4 .

6 . A method for producing a protein consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 9 or 30, or a homologue thereof that is at least 95% homologous to said sequence, comprising culturing the transformant according to claim 5 , and thereby generating the protein.

7 . A recombinant vector comprising the polynucleotide according to claim 3 .

8 . A transformant obtained by transforming a host cell with the recombinant vector according to claim 7 .

9 . A method for producing a protein consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 9 or 30, or a homologue thereof that is at least 95% homologous to said sequence, comprising culturing the transformant according to claim 8 , and thereby generating the protein.
