Diarylmethyl Piperazine Derivatives, Preparations Thereof and Uses Thereof

Abstract

Compounds of general formula: as well as salts, enantiomers thereof and pharmaceutical compositions including the compounds are prepared. They are useful in therapy, in particular in the management of pain, depression and anxiety.

         17 . A compound 4-{(R)-(3-aminophenyl)[4-(4-fluorobenzyl)piperazin-1-yl]methyl}-N,N-diethylbenzamide, having the formula 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 
       
     
     
         18 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound according to  claim 17 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. 
     
     
         19 . A method of treating anxiety, comprising the step of administering to a subject in need of such treatment a therapeutically effective amount of a compound according to  claim 17 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 
     
     
         20 . A method of treating anxiety according to  claim 19 , wherein said anxiety is generalized anxiety disorder. 
     
     
         21 . A method of treating anxiety, comprising administering to a subject in need of such treatment a therapeutically effective amount of a composition according to  claim 18 . 
     
     
         22 . A method of treating anxiety according to  claim 21 , wherein said anxiety is generalized anxiety disorder.
