Abstract

A touch-and-feel product display container for holding a plurality of products within the container and at least one product external to the container wherein the product external to the container is retained on the outside of the container in a position where a perspective purchaser can touch-and-feel the product without having to remove either the product from an external product holder or one of the products from the compartment within the container.

         16 . A method of presenting a container for product display with at least one product located in a touch-and-feel position external to the container comprising:
 forming a container with an internal product compartment formed at least partially by a sidewall;   forming an external product holder in the sidewall;   placing a plurality of products in the internal product compartment;   securing a product in the external product holder in a touch-and-feel condition by engaging the product with the external product holder prior to delivering the container to a point of sale site; and   delivering the container to the point of sale site with the product engaged in the external product holder without disturbing the product engaged in the external product holder.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16  including stacking a plurality of containers without disturbing the product engaged in the external product holder prior to delivering the container to the point of sale. 
     
     
         18 . The method of claim  15  wherein the product is a twist-on wire connector that is frictionally engaged to the external product holder. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18  wherein the external product holder is a post and the post is set back from a side wall of a container to prevent dislodgment of the twist-on wire connector. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 17  wherein the twist-on wire connector is secured to the external product holder with a closed end of the twist-on wire connector free of restraint by the external pocket holder and the external product holder is formed in a sidewall of the container.
