. The method of claim 1 , further comprising, waiting to send at least the portion of transactions from the mobile device until occurrence of a trigger event.

. The method of claim 5 , wherein, the trigger event includes, user activity.

. The method of claim 5 , wherein the trigger event includes, presence or power-on of backlight.

. The method of claim 6 , wherein, the trigger event includes, key presses, or touch screen activities at the mobile device.

. The method of claim 1 , further comprising, waiting to send at least the portion of transactions from the mobile device until after a period of time.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein, the period of time is determined from the length of time absent the user activity at the mobile device.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein, the transactions include background requests of one or more of the mobile applications.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein, the transactions include low priority transactions of one or more of the mobile applications.

. The method of claim 12 , wherein, the low priority transactions include, one or more of, updating message status as being read, unread, and deleting of messages.

. The method of  claim 1 , further comprising, identifying the at least the portion of transactions as being the low priority transactions;
aggregating the low priority transactions for batch transfer from the mobile device.

. The method of claim 1 , further comprising,
detecting characteristics of user activity at the mobile device; using characteristics of the user activity at the mobile device to locally adjust radio use on the mobile device.

. The method of claim 15 , wherein, when the characteristics of the user activity indicate that the user is subsequently active, radio use is adjusted to send the at least the portion of the transactions buffered as a result of the intercepting, over the network.

. The method of claim 1 , using characteristics of the transactions to adjust radio use on the mobile device; wherein, the characteristics of transactions include time criticality of the transactions.

. The method of claim 17 , wherein, a low power radio mode or a high power radio mode is selected for use on the mobile device based on the time criticality of the transactions.

. The method of claim 17 , wherein, the time critical transaction includes a transaction resulting from a user-initiated data transfer.

. A method of conserving battery consumption on a mobile device during user inactivity, the method, comprising:
identifying during user inactivity at the mobile device, transactions initiated by mobile applications as being the low priority transactions; aggregating transactions for batch transfer from the mobile device; wherein, the transactions are detected during a period of user inactivity at the mobile device; wherein, the transactions are intercepted and prevented from accessing a network until the occurrence of a trigger event.

. The method of claim 20 , wherein, the trigger event includes, one or more of, presence or power-on of backlight, key presses, or touch screen activities at the mobile device.

. The method of claim 20 , wherein, the mobile applications for which the transactions are prevented are specified by a network operator.

. A method of optimizing radio use on a mobile device, the method, comprising:
detecting multiple events having a first priority type initiated on the mobile device, when the mobile device is in background mode; cumulating the multiple events having the first priority type, at least some of which occurred at different instances in time for batched transfer to a server in wireless communication with the mobile device.

. The method of claim 23 , wherein, the background mode is absent user activity at the mobile device with clients which generated the multiple events.

. The method of claim 23 , wherein, the multiple events include background traffic for mobile clients on the mobile device.

. The method of claim 23 , wherein, the batch transfer occurs when an event of a second priority type is detected at the mobile device; wherein the second priority type is of higher priority than the first priority type.

. The method of claim 23 , wherein, the batch transfer from the mobile device occurs when radio use is otherwise triggered at the mobile device.
