Abstract

A method includes capturing a picture or video that includes a first person. The method also includes automatically identifying the first person using speaker recognition or image recognition and identifying an electronic address or identifier associated with the first person. The method further includes automatically initiating a communication to the first person using the electronic address or identifier associated with the first person.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . In a device, a method comprising:
capturing a picture or video, the picture or video including at least a first person; automatically identifying the first person using at least one of speaker recognition or image recognition; identifying an electronic address or identifier associated with the first person; and automatically initiating a communication to the first person using the electronic address or identifier associated with the first person.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the automatically initiating a communication comprises:
signaling or instructing a messaging program to generate a message addressed or directed to the electronic address or identifier associated with the first person.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the electronic address or identifier comprises an electronic mail (email) address, and wherein the signaling or instructing a messaging program comprises:
instructing an email program to generate the message to the email address associated with the first person.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the electronic address comprises an electronic mail (email) address, and wherein the automatically initiating a communication comprises:
generating an email communication addressed to the email address associated with the first person, receiving, from a user, information to include in the email, and forwarding the email with the received information to the email address associated with the first person.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
tagging the picture or video with information indicating that a second person is in the picture or video.

6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising:
automatically initiating a communication to the second person using an electronic address or identifier associated with the second person.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
storing voice related information associated with the first person, and wherein the identifying the first person comprises: identifying the first person by comparing received voice input from the first person to the stored voice related information associated with the first person.

8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
storing image information associated with a plurality of people, and wherein the identifying the first person comprises: comparing the picture or video to the stored image information associated with the plurality of people, and identifying the first person based on the comparing.

9 . A computer-readable storage device having stored thereon sequences of instructions which, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
access or capture a picture or image including at least a first person; identify the first person using image recognition; display the image with information identifying the first person; and automatically signal a messaging program to initiate a communication to an electronic address or identifier associated with the first person.

10 . The computer-readable storage device of claim 9 , wherein the electronic address or identifier comprises an electronic mail (email) address or text messaging address, and when automatically signaling or instructing a messaging program, the instructions cause the at least one processor to:
instruct an email program or text messaging program to generate a message directed to the email address or text messaging address associated with the first person.

11 . The computer-readable storage device of claim 9 , wherein the electronic address comprises an electronic mail (email) address, and when automatically signaling a messaging program, the instructions cause the at least one processor to:
generate an email addressed to the email address associated with the first person.

12 . The computer-readable storage device of claim 11 , further including instructions for causing the at least one processor to:
receive, from a user, information to include in the email; and forward the email with the received information to the email address associated with the first person.

13 . The computer-readable storage device of claim 9 , further including instructions for causing the at least one processor to:
tag the picture or image with information indicating that a second person is in the picture or image.

14 . The computer-readable storage device of claim 13 , further including instructions for causing the at least one processor to:
automatically initiate a communication to the second person using an electronic address or identifier associated with the second person.

15 . The computer-readable storage device of claim 9 , further comprising instructions for causing the at least one processor to:
tag the picture or image with information indicating that the first person is in the picture; display the information identifying the first person for a period of time; and remove the information in the picture or image identifying the first person after the period of time.

16 . The computer-readable storage device of claim 9 , wherein the electronic address or identifier comprises an electronic mail (email) address, a text messaging address or a telephone number associated with the first person.

         17 . A device, comprising:
 a camera configured to:
take a picture including at least a first person, and
store the picture in a memory; and
   processing logic configured to:
identify the first person using at least one of speaker recognition or image recognition,
identify an electronic address or identifier associated with the first person, and
automatically initiate a communication to the first person using the electronic address or identifier associated with the first person.

18 . The device of claim 17 , wherein when automatically initiating a communication, the processing logic is configured to:
signal or instruct a messaging program to generate a message directed to the electronic address or identifier associated with the first person.

19 . The device of claim 18 , wherein the electronic address or identifier comprises an electronic mail (email) address, and when signaling or instructing a messaging program, the processing logic is configured to:
instruct an email program to transmit the message to the email address associated with the first person.

20 . The device of claim 17 , wherein the electronic address or identifier comprises an electronic mail (email) or text messaging address, and when automatically initiating a communication, the processing logic is configured to:
generate a communication addressed to the email address or text messaging address associated with the first person, and
wherein the processing logic is further configured to:
receive, from a user, information to include in communication, and
forward the communication with the received information to the email address or text messaging address associated with the first person.
