Method for informing a purchaser of a topical skin care preparation of an oxidative stress protective capacity
Abstract
A method for informing a purchaser of a topical skin care preparation of an oxidative stress protective capacity, relative to human skin, of a first antioxidative substance included in the topical skin care preparation, includes providing the topical skin care preparation, the topical skin care preparation including the first antioxidative substance. Information is provided including a total score indicative of an oxidative stress protective capacity, relative to human skin, of the first antioxidative substance. The total score is based on a combination of a first score representative of a performance of the first antioxidative substance in a first antioxidative efficacy test and a second score representative of a performance of the first antioxidative substance in a second antioxidative efficacy test.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 : A method for informing a purchaser of a topical skin care preparation of an oxidative stress protective capacity, relative to human skin, of a first antioxidative substance included in the topical skin care preparation, the method comprising:
providing the topical skin care preparation, the topical skin care preparation including the first antioxidative substance; and providing information including a total score indicative of an oxidative stress protective capacity, relative to human skin, of the first antioxidative substance, the total score being based on a combination of a first score representative of a performance of the first antioxidative substance in a first antioxidative efficacy test and a second score representative of a performance of the first antioxidative substance in a second antioxidative efficacy test.
2 : The method as recited in claim 1 wherein the first score is based on the performance of the first antioxidative substance in the first antioxidative efficacy test relative to a standard.
3 : The method as recited in claim 2 wherein the standard is based on a performance of a second antioxidative substance in the first antioxidative efficacy test.
4 : The method as recited in claim 2 wherein the standard is based on a result of a first antioxidative efficacy test performed on a control.
5 : The method as recited in claim 2 wherein the standard is based on unprotected human skin.
6 : The method as recited in claim 1 wherein the topical skin care preparation includes an environmental stressor blocking agent.
7 : The method as recited in claim 1 wherein the first antioxidative efficacy test is performed on human skin.
8 : A method for informing a purchaser of a topical skin care preparation of an oxidative stress protective capacity, relative to human skin, of the topical skin care preparation, the method comprising:
providing the topical skin care preparation, the topical skin care preparation including a first antioxidative substance; and providing information including a total score indicative of an oxidative stress protective capacity, relative to human skin, of the topical skin care preparation, the total score being based on a combination of a first score representative of a performance of the topical skin care preparation in a first antioxidative efficacy test and a second score representative of a performance of the topical skin care preparation in a second antioxidative efficacy test.
9 : The method as recited in claim 8 wherein the first score is based on the performance of the topical skin care preparation in the first antioxidative efficacy test relative to a standard.
10 : The method as recited in claim 9 wherein the standard is based on a performance of a second antioxidative substance in the first antioxidative efficacy test.
11 : The method as recited in claim 10 wherein the second antioxidative substance is a topical skin preparation.
12 : The method as recited in claim 9 wherein the standard is based on a result of a first antioxidative efficacy test performed on a control.
13 : The method as recited in claim 9 wherein the standard is based on unprotected human skin.
14 : The method as recited in claim 8 wherein the topical skin preparation includes an environmental stressor blocking agent.
15 : The method as recited in claim 8 wherein the first antioxidative efficacy test is performed on human skin.Cited by (0)
