Abstract

An image processing apparatus includes a recording/reproducing unit that records data on a first recording medium and reproduces recorded data from the first recording medium; a recording unit that records data on a second recording medium; and a controller, when print designation information of the first image data cannot be recorded on the first recording medium, the print designation information indicates print processing of image data, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.

1 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
 a recording/reproducing unit that records data on a first recording medium and reproduces recorded data from the first recording medium;   a recording unit that records data on a second recording medium; and   a controller that controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit,   wherein the recording/reproducing unit can record print designation information on the first recording medium, the print designation information indicates print processing of image data, and   wherein the controller, when the print designation information of first image data cannot be recorded on the first recording medium, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         2 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the controller, when the first recording medium lacks a capacity for recording the print designation information of the first image data, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         3 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the controller, when the first recording medium has been finalized, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         4 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the first recording medium includes a rewritable recording medium and a write-once recording medium, and   wherein the controller, when the first recording medium is a write-once recording medium, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         5 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 further comprising an image capture unit that obtains image data,   wherein the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit record the image data obtained by the image capture unit on the first recording medium and the second recording medium respectively.   
     
     
         6 . A method for performing print setting of image data, the method comprising:
 determining whether print designation information of first image data can be recorded on a first recording medium, the print designation information indicates print processing of image data, and when it is determined that the print designation information of the first image data cannot be recorded on the first recording medium;   reading the first image data from the first recording medium; and   recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on a second recording medium.   
     
     
         7 . The method according to  claim 6 ,
 further including determining whether the print designation information of the first image data can be recorded on the first recording medium based on available recording capacity of the first recording medium.   
     
     
         8 . The method according to  claim 6 ,
 further including determining whether the print designation information of the first image data can be recorded on the first recording medium based on whether the first recording medium has been finalized.   
     
     
         9 . The method according to  claim 6 ,
 further including determining whether the print designation information of the first image data can be recorded based on whether the first recording medium is a rewritable recording medium or a write-once recording medium.   
     
     
         10 . A non-transitory computer readable medium containing computer-executable instructions for controlling an information processing apparatus, the medium including:
 computer-executable instructions for determining whether the print designation information of first image data can be recorded on the first recording medium; and   computer-executable instructions for, when it is determined that the print designation information of the first image data cannot be recorded on the first recording medium, reading the first image data designated from the first recording medium and recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         11 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 10 ,
 further including computer-executable instructions for determining whether the print designation information of the first image data can be recorded on the first recording medium based on available recording capacity of the first recording medium.   
     
     
         12 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 10 ,
 further including computer-executable instructions for determining whether the print designation information of the first image data can be recorded on the first recording medium based on whether the first recording medium has been finalized.   
     
     
         13 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 10 , further including computer-executable instructions for determining whether the print designation information of the first image data can be recorded based on whether the first recording medium is a rewritable recording medium or a write-once recording medium. 
     
     
         14 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
 a recording/reproducing unit that records data on a first recording medium and reproduces recorded data from the first recording medium;   a recording unit that records data on a second recording medium; and   a controller, when print designation information of the first image data cannot be recorded on the first recording medium, the print designation information indicates print processing of image data, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         15 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 14 ,
 wherein the controller, when the first recording medium lacks a capacity for recording the print designation information of the first image data, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         16 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 14 ,
 wherein the controller, when the first recording medium has been finalized, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         17 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 14 ,
 wherein the first recording medium includes a rewritable recording medium and a write-once recording medium, and   wherein the controller, when the first recording medium is a write-once recording medium, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         18 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 14 ,
 further comprising an image capture unit that obtains image data,   wherein the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit record the image data obtained by the image capture unit on the first recording medium and the second recording medium respectively.   
     
     
         19 . A method for performing print setting of image data, the method comprising:
 reading first image data from a first recording medium, when print designation information of the first image data cannot be recorded on the first recording medium, the print designation information indicates print processing of image data; and   recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on a second recording medium, when the print designation information of the first image data cannot be recorded on the first recording medium.   
     
     
         20 . The method according to  claim 19 ,
 further including reading the first image data from the first recording medium, when the first recording medium lacks a capacity for recording the print designation information of the first image data, and   further including recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium, when the first recording medium lacks a capacity for recording the print designation information of the first image data.   
     
     
         21 . The method according to  claim 19 ,
 further including reading the first image data from the first recording medium, when the first recording medium has been finalized, and   further including recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium, when the first recording medium has been finalized.   
     
     
         22 . The method according to  claim 19 ,
 wherein the first recording medium includes a rewritable recording medium and a write-once recording medium,   further including reading the first image data from the first recording medium, when the first recording medium is a write-once recording medium, and   further including recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium, when the first recording medium is a write-once recording medium.   
     
     
         23 . A non-transitory computer readable medium containing computer-executable instructions for controlling an information processing apparatus, the medium including:
 computer-executable instructions for, when print designation information of first image data cannot be recorded on a first recording medium, the print designation information indicates print processing of image data, reading the first image data from the first recording medium and recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         24 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 23 ,
 further including computer-executable instructions for, when the first recording medium lacks a capacity for recording the print designation information of the first image data, reading the first image data from the first recording medium and recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.

 further including computer-executable instructions for, when the first recording medium has been finalized, reading the first image data from the first recording medium and recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.

 wherein the first recording medium includes a rewritable recording medium and a write-once recording medium,   further including computer-executable instructions for, when the first recording medium is a write-once recording medium, reading the first image data from the first recording medium and recording the first image data and print designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.   
     
     
         27 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
 a recording/reproducing unit that records data on a first recording medium and reproduces recorded data from the first recording medium;   a recording unit that records data on a second recording medium; and   a controller, when designation information of the first image data cannot be recorded on the first recording medium, the designation information indicates output processing of image data, controls the recording/reproducing unit and the recording unit to read the first image data from the first recording medium and record the first image data and designation information of the first image data on the second recording medium.
