Abstract

A system for removing ink from a substrate. The system includes an ink separator configured to separate the ink from the substrate; and a substrate conveyor configured to provide the substrate to the ink separator. Accordingly, the ink can be removed from the substrate such that the substrate can be re-used.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method of removing solid ink from a substrate, comprising:
receiving the substrate with the solid ink; mechanically separating the solid ink from the substrate; and returning the substrate.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising scraping the solid ink from a surface of the substrate.

3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising removing a portion of the substrate while separating the solid ink from the substrate.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
submerging at least a part of the substrate in a fluid; and ultrasonically agitating the fluid.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising collecting the ink separated from the substrate.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising monitoring the substrate for remaining solid ink.
