Amino acid derivatives for the treatment of neuropathic pain

Abstract

The invention relates to compounds, to compositions comprising the same and uses thereof for the prevention or treatment of pain, e.g neuropathic pain while having neutral or beneficial effect on metabolic parameters.

         36 . The compound of  claim 50 , for use in the treatment diseases and conditions treatable by drugs with affinity to an α 2 δ subunit of voltage-gated N-type calcium ion channels. 
     
     
         37 . The compound according to  claim 36 , wherein said disease or condition is selected from neuropathy, neuropathic pain, diabetic neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, epilepsy, and fibromyalgia.

         39 . The compound according to  claim 38 , wherein said pain is nerve pain.

The compound of  claim 50 , for use in the treatment of a disease or condition selected from neuropathy, neuropathic pain, diabetic neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, post-operative chronic pain, nerve pain associated with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and nystagmus.
