Abstract

An apparatus for producing a self-sealing pneumatic tire includes a rotational drive apparatus that grasps a vulcanization molded pneumatic tire and rotationally drives the pneumatic tire around a tire axis, together with a spray nozzle for a sealant material, a spray nozzle for a cover material, and an irradiating device that irradiates an electron beam, infrared rays, ultraviolet rays, or ultrasonic waves that are provided on a lateral part of the pneumatic tire grasped by the rotational drive apparatus in a manner such that each of the spray nozzles and the irradiating device can move in and out of a cavity of the pneumatic tire.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An apparatus for producing a self-sealing pneumatic tire, provided with a rotational drive apparatus that grasps a vulcanization molded pneumatic tire and rotationally drives the pneumatic tire around a tire axis, and also, on a lateral part of the pneumatic tire grasped by the rotational drive apparatus, provided with a spray nozzle for a sealant material, a spray nozzle for a cover material, and an irradiating device that irradiates an electron beam, infrared rays, ultraviolet rays, or ultrasonic waves, in a manner that can move in and out of a pneumatic tire cavity.

2 . The apparatus for producing a self-sealing pneumatic tire according to claim 1 , wherein each of the spray nozzle for a sealant material and the spray nozzle for a cover material is independently movable in and out of the pneumatic tire cavity for ejecting the sealant material or the cover material onto an inner surface of the pneumatic tire, and the irradiating device is independently movable in and out of the pneumatic tire cavity for irradiating the electron beam, infrared rays, ultraviolet rays, or ultrasonic waves at onto the sealant material or the cover material.

3 . The apparatus for producing a self-sealing pneumatic tire according to claim 2 , wherein the spray nozzles can respectively spray the sealant material and the cover material onto the inner surface of the pneumatic tire while the tire is stationary and while the tire is being rotated, and the irradiating device can irradiate the electron beam, infrared rays, ultraviolet rays, or ultrasonic waves onto the sealant material and the cover material while the tire is stationary and while the tire is being rotated.

4 . The apparatus for producing a self-sealing pneumatic tire according to claim 1 , wherein the drive apparatus rotate the pneumatic tire at a rotational speed of between 650 and 1800 rpm.

5 . The apparatus for producing a self-sealing pneumatic tire according to claim 1 , wherein viscosities of the sealant material and the cover material sprayed by each of the spray nozzles are between 100 and 5000 Pa·s.

6 . The apparatus for producing a self-sealing pneumatic tire according to claim 1 , wherein a specific gravity of the sealant material is larger than a specific gravity of the cover material.

7 . The apparatus for producing a self-sealing pneumatic tire according to claim 1 , wherein the sealant material is powdered by freeze pulverizing prior to being sprayed by the spray nozzle for the sealant material.
