Abstract

Allergen-inhibiting fibers which include fibers which form a reaction field capable of causing interaction with acarian allergens by gathering water molecules in the air, an allergen inhibitor which denatures or adsorbs the acarian allergens to inhibit the reactivity of the allergens to specific antibodies in an atmosphere of an absolute humidity of not higher than 50 g/m, and a hygroscopic compound, wherein a surface of the fibers incorporates an alkali metal oxide, alkaline earth metal oxide, alkali metal hydroxide or alkaline earth metal hydroxide.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Allergen-inhibiting fibers comprising fibers which form a reaction field capable of causing interaction with acarian allergens by gathering water molecules in the air, an allergen inhibitor which denatures or adsorbs the acarian allergens to inhibit the reactivity of the allergens to specific antibodies in an atmosphere of an absolute humidity of not higher than 50 g/m, and a hygroscopic compound, wherein a surface of the fibers contains at least one member selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal oxide, an alkaline earth metal oxide, an alkali metal hydroxide and an alkaline earth metal hydroxide.

2 . The allergen-inhibiting fibers of claim 1 , wherein the content of the at least one member selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal oxide, an alkaline earth metal oxide, an alkali metal hydroxide and an alkaline earth metal hydroxide is 0.001 to 30% by weight.

3 . The allergen-inhibiting fibers of claim 1 , wherein the content of the at least one member selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal oxide, an alkaline earth metal oxide, an alkali metal hydroxide and an alkaline earth metal hydroxide is 0.01 to 3% by weight.
