Communication system, operation control method, and location management server

Abstract

A communication system according to an exemplary aspect of the present invention is a communication system including a location management server for managing the location of a mobile station, a base station for deciding an exchange which accommodates the mobile station via the base station in response to a location registration request from the mobile station and making the location registration request to the exchange decided, and an exchange for making the location registration request to the location management server in response to the location registration request from the base station, wherein the location management server designates an exchange for accommodating the mobile station in response to the location registration request.

1 . A control method used in a communication system, the control method comprising:
 sending, from a user equipment (UE), an attach request to a mobility management entity (MME);   sending, from the MME, a request signal to a home subscriber server (HSS);   sending, from the HSS to the MME, a confirm signal in response to the request signal; and   selecting, in the MME, a gateway for connecting to the UE according to the confirm signal received from the HSS.   
     
     
         2 . A communication system, comprising:
 a user equipment (UE) for sending an attach request;   a mobility management entity (MME) for receiving the attach request and sending a request signal; and   a home subscriber server (HSS) for receiving the request signal and sending a confirm signal,   wherein the MME selects a gateway for connecting to the UE according to the confirm signal received from the HSS.   
     
     
         3 . A mobility management apparatus, wherein the apparatus sends a request signal to a home subscriber server (HSS) according to an attach request received from a user equipment (UE), and selects a gateway for connecting to the UE according to a confirm signal received from the HSS. 
     
     
         4 . A mobile station, wherein the mobile station sends an attach request to a mobility management entity (MME) to cause the MME to acquire information on the mobile station held by a home subscriber server (HSS) and to select a gateway for connecting to the mobile station.
