Computer monitor with a shelf

Abstract

A shelf positioned behind a computer monitor, where the shelf is connected to either the stand supporting the monitor or the computer monitor back surface. The shelf has a flat portion which is essentially horizontal for holding various items. The shelf may further comprise a lip or a rail. The shelf may be removably connected to the stand or monitor, or may be an integral part of either.

1 . A storage device, comprising:
 a computer monitor comprising a front, back, top and bottom sides;   a stand connected to said computer monitor;   a shelf extending from the back side of the computer monitor or the stand.   
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the shelf is removably attached to the back side of the computer monitor or the stand. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the shelf is an integral part of the stand. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the shelf comprises a flat portion. 
     
     
         5 . The device of  claim 4 , wherein the shelf comprises a lip. 
     
     
         6 . The device of  claim 4 , wherein the shelf comprises a rail. 
     
     
         7 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the stand is connected to the bottom side of the computer monitor. 
     
     
         8 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the stand is connected to the back side of the computer monitor. 
     
     
         9 . The device of  claim 1 , further comprising a connector connecting the shelf of the back side of the computer monitor or the stand. 
     
     
         10 . The device of  claim 9 , wherein the connector comprises a C-bracket with a C-bracket screw. 
     
     
         11 . The device of  claim 5 , wherein the lip comprises a plurality of notches. 
     
     
         12 . A storage device, comprising:
 a computer monitor comprising a front, back, top and bottom sides; and   a shelf extending from the back side of the computer monitor.   
     
     
         13 . The device of  claim 12 , wherein the shelf is removably attached to the back side of the computer monitor. 
     
     
         14 . The device of  claim 13 , wherein the shelf is an integral part of the monitor. 
     
     
         15 . The device of  claim 12 , wherein the shelf comprises a flat portion.
