Abstract
A wireless communication device including a local wireless communication interface operable to establish an ad hoc network in at least one local area, and to perform communication with a destination device through the ad hoc network, includes: a route discovery unit operable to discover a communication route to the destination device in the ad hoc network; a wide area wireless communication interface operable to perform wide area wireless communication through a wide area wireless communication network; and a wide area wireless communication receiving environment monitoring unit operable to monitor receiving environment of the wide area wireless communication interface. The wide area wireless communication receiving environment monitoring unit activates the route discovery unit for getting the latest communication route in response to a change of receiving environment of the wide area wireless communication interface

a first wireless communication physical interface operable to perform a first wireless communication; a second wireless communication physical interface operable to perform a second wireless communication different from the first wireless communication; and a processor, when a change of an environment of either one of the first wireless communication physical interface or the second wireless communication interface is notified, activates a process for a network topology control for the other physical interface.
2 . The apparatus as in claim 1 , wherein
the second wireless communication is used for a wireless communication in wider area than that for the first wireless communication.
3 . The apparatus as in claim 1 , wherein
the second wireless communication is a wireless communication provided by one or more base stations, and the change of the environment is a change of a base station of the base stations to which the wireless communication provided by to another base station.
4 . The apparatus as in claim 1 , further comprises
an input section operable to set a condition of the change.
5 . The apparatus as in claim 2 , wherein
the process is a routing process for sending a routing protocol into the network to which the first wireless network belongs.
6 . A method
utilized to form a logical network over an wireless network organised by wireless networking nodes including a relay node, comprising: transmitting a message to resolve a destination on the logical network over the wireless network by a transmission power; determining whether the destination is reachable or not; and if not,
increasing the transmission power, and
retransmitting the message with the transmission power increased.
7 . The method according to the claim 6 , wherein
the destination is defined by IP network address space for the logical network which is an IP network over the wireless ad-hoc network including the relay node and, the message is a routing protocol for resolving the IP network address space.
8 . A method for an IP network routing in an IP network over a wireless network, the wireless network including a plurality of wireless nodes, comprising:
determining a first transmission power to transmit a routing protocol packet rather than a data packet; and transmitting the routing protocol with the first transmission power determined
9 . The method according to claim 8 , wherein
the determining is based on a characteristic of data packet to be sent after resolving a route for which the data packet is destined by the routing protocol.
10 . The method according to claim 8 , further comprising:
deciding whether a destination network is resolved with the routing protocol transmitted, and if not, the determining increases the first transmission power to a second transmission power to issue another routing protocol.Cited by (0)
