1 . An apparatus for utilizing content, the apparatus comprising:
one or more processors; and one or more memories operatively coupled to at least one of the one or more processors and having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one of the one or more processors, cause at least one of the one or more processors to:
 determine whether a server is trustworthy based on server registration information received from the server;
generate a request for content based at least in part on a determination that the server is trustworthy, the request corresponding to a utilization of the content; and
receive information granting utilization of the content in accordance with the requested utilization based at least in part on:
a determination that the apparatus is trustworthy based on apparatus registration information received by the server; and
a determination that the requested utilization corresponds to at least one of one or more usage rights associated with the content.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more memories has further instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one of the one or more processors, cause at least one of the one or more processors to receive information denying utilization of the content in accordance with the requested utilization based at least in part on at least one of:

6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the utilization is at least one of rendering, distribution, viewing, playing, printing, modifying, and copying.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the content is at least one of an electronic book, music, audio information, a multimedia presentation, a movie, a computer program, and video information.

8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more processors is associated with at least one of a printer, a video system, and an audio system that utilizes the content.

9 . A computer-implemented method executed by one or more computing devices for utilizing content, the method comprising:
determining, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, whether a server is trustworthy based on server registration information received from the server; generating, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, a request for content based at least in part on a determination that the server is trustworthy, the request corresponding to a utilization of the content; and receiving, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, information granting utilization of the content in accordance with the requested utilization based at least in part on:
a determination that at least one of the one or more computing devices is trustworthy based on device registration information received by the server; and
a determination that the requested utilization corresponds to at least one of one or more usage rights associated with the content.

10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising enabling the receipt of the content.

11 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising utilizing the content in accordance with the requested utilization.

12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the determining is performed based on instructions that are stored separate from the content.

13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the utilization is at least one of rendering, distribution, viewing, playing, printing, modifying, and copying.

14 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the content is at least one of an electronic book, music, audio information, a multimedia presentation, a movie, a computer program, and video information.

15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein at least one of the one or more computing devices is associated with at least one of a printer, a video system, and an audio system that utilizes the content.

16 . A computer-implemented method executed by one or more computing devices for utilizing content, the method comprising:
determining, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, whether a server is trustworthy based on server registration information received from the server; generating, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, a request for content based at least in part on a determination that the server is trustworthy, the request corresponding to a utilization of the content; and receiving, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, information denying utilization of the content in accordance with the requested utilization based at least in part on at least one of:
a determination that at least one of the one or more computing devices is not trustworthy based on the device registration information by the server; and
a determination that the requested utilization does not correspond to at least one of one or more usage rights associated with the content.

17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the determining is performed based on instructions that are stored separate from the content.
