Abstract
An implant delivery system, comprising: an implantable device comprising a plurality of supports extending between a proximal end and a distal end, the supports being moveable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, a proximal guide tube at the proximal end of the supports extending toward the distal end, and a distal guide tube at the distal end of the supports extending toward the proximal end, wherein the proximal and distal guide tubes are telescoping and become further engaged as the supports move from the collapsed to the expanded configuration.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An implant delivery system, comprising:
an implantable device comprising a plurality of supports extending between a proximal end and a distal end, the supports being moveable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, the implantable device being biased to the open position, and having a disconnect mount at the proximal end; an actuation shaft extendable through the implantable device into engagement with the distal end; a catheter having a catheter tube having a distal end, a disconnect mount distal the distal end of the catheter tube and a flexible sock fixed between the distal end of the catheter tube and the disconnect mount, the catheter disconnect mount coupled to the implantable device disconnect mount.
2 . The system of claim 1 wherein the flexible sock has an expanded diameter configuration and a reduced diameter configuration and wherein the flexible sock is biased to the expanded diameter configuration.
3 . The system of claim 2 wherein the flexible sock comprises a wire braid.
4 . The system of claim 2 wherein the flexible sock comprises nitinol.
5 . The system of claim 2 wherein the flexible sock having no compression load transfer over at least the first 10% of axial strain.
6 . The system of claim 1 wherein the catheter disconnect mount comprises a threaded section and wherein the actuation shaft comprises a complementary threaded section, wherein the actuation shaft threaded portion is positioned on the actuation shaft such that when the actuation shaft threaded portion is engaged with the catheter disconnect mount threaded portion, the implantable device is at least partially moved towards the collapsed configuration.
7 . The system of claim 1 further comprising a slide tube.
8 . The system of claim 7 wherein the slide tube is fixed to the actuation shaft and positioned to be at least partially within the sock when the actuation shaft threaded portion is engaged with the catheter disconnect mount threaded portion.
9 . The system of claim 1 wherein the catheter disconnect mount is configured to decouple from the implantable device disconnect mount upon proximal withdrawal of the actuation shaft.
10 . The system of claim 1 wherein the implantable device comprises:
a proximal guide tube at the proximal end of the supports extending toward the distal end; and
a distal guide tube at the distal end of the supports extending toward a proximal end;
wherein the proximal and distal guide tubes are telescoping and become further engaged as the supports move from the collapsed to the expanded configuration.
11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the actuation shaft is configured to engage with the distal guide tube.
12 . The system of claim 1 wherein the implantable device is a left atrial appendage occlusion device.
13 . An implant delivery system, comprising:
an implantable device comprising a plurality of supports extending between a proximal end and a distal end, the supports being moveable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, the implantable device being biased to the open position; an actuation shaft extendable through the implantable device into engagement with the distal end; a catheter having a catheter tube having a distal end and a flexible sock having a first end fixedly attached to the catheter tube distal end and a second end releasable attached to the implantable device proximal end.
14 . The system of claim 13 wherein the flexible sock has an expanded diameter configuration and a reduced diameter configuration and wherein the flexible sock is biased to the expanded diameter configuration.
15 . The system of claim 14 wherein the flexible sock comprises a wire braid.
16 . The system of claim 15 wherein the flexible sock comprises nitinol.
17 . The system of claim 16 wherein the flexible sock having no compression load transfer over at least the first 10% of axial strain.
18 . The system of claim 13 wherein the catheter is configured to decouple from the implantable device upon proximal withdrawal of the actuation shaft.
19 . The system of claim 13 wherein the implantable device comprises:
a proximal guide tube at the proximal end of the supports extending toward the distal end; and
a distal guide tube at the distal end of the supports extending toward a proximal end;
wherein the proximal and distal guide tubes are telescoping and become further engaged as the supports move from the collapsed to the expanded configuration.
20 . The system of claim 13 wherein the implantable device is a left atrial appendage occlusion device.Cited by (0)
