Tool assembly
Abstract
A tool assembly having: a) a tool, which has a frame, and a pair of suction cups, wherein the suction cups having a cup structure, and wherein at least one of the cup structures is rotatable relative to the frame; and/or b) a rail, a hidden object detector slidably coupled to the rail and a display unit with a display member and a marking unit, wherein the marking unit is configured to form a mark on the display member in response to detection of a hidden object by the hidden object detector; and/or c) a suction cup and a device for mounting an article to the suction cup at a desired position and for indicating a position of a hanger for permanently mounting the article at the desired position.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A tool assembly comprising:
a rail; a hidden object detector slidably coupled to the rail; and a display unit having a display member and a marking unit, the marking unit being configured to be activated to form a mark on the display member in response to detection of a hidden object by the hidden object detector.
2 . The tool assembly of claim 1 , wherein the mark persists on the display member for a duration that is less than or equal to 10 minutes after the marking unit has been deactivated.
3 . The tool assembly of claim 2 , wherein the duration is less than or equal to 5 minutes.
4 . The tool assembly of claim 3 , wherein the duration is between 45 seconds and 2 minutes.
5 . The tool assembly of claim 2 , wherein the marking unit emits electromagnetic radiation.
6 . The tool assembly of claim 5 , wherein the electromagnetic radiation is a form of light.
7 . The tool assembly of claim 6 , wherein the electromagnetic radiation is ultraviolet light.
8 . The tool assembly of claim 2 , wherein the marking unit generates or transmits an electronic signal to the display member.
9 . The tool assembly of claim 1 , wherein the display member is coupled to the rail.
10 . The tool assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a level sensor coupled to the rail.
11 . The tool assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a hidden object marker slidably coupled to the rail.
12 . The tool assembly of claim 1 , further comprising at least one suction cup coupled to the rail.
13 . The tool assembly of claim 1 , wherein the hidden object detector comprises a unit housing and a spring, wherein the rail includes an abutting surface, and wherein the spring permits movement of the unit housing relative to the rail in a direction that is orthogonal to a direction at which the unit housing slides on the rail and a plane that is defined by the abutting surface.
14 . A tool assembly comprising:
a pair of rails that cooperate to form a set of ways; a hidden object detector slidably mounted on the ways; a display member mounted to a first one of the rails; and a marking unit coupled to the hidden object detector and disposed in-line with the display member, the marking unit being activated in response to detection of a hidden object by the hidden object detector to generate electromagnetic radiation that impinges on the display member to thereby form a mark on the display member.
15 . The tool assembly of claim 14 , wherein the marking unit comprises one or more light emitting diodes.
16 . The tool assembly of claim 15 , wherein the one or more light emitting diodes are configured to emit UV light.
17 . The tool assembly of claim 14 , wherein the display member is formed of a light-sensitive material.
18 . The tool assembly of claim 14 , further comprising a level sensor coupled to the rails.
19 . The tool assembly of claim 18 , wherein the level sensor comprises a fluid-carrying bubble vial.
20 . The tool assembly of claim 14 , wherein a first one of the rails comprises an internal wall member, wherein a portion of the first one of the rails is removed to expose a portion of the internal wall member, and wherein the display member is mounted to the exposed portion of the internal wall member.
21 . The tool assembly of claim 14 , further comprising a suction cup coupled to the pair of rails.
22 . The tool assembly of claim 21 , wherein the suction cup is removably coupled to the pair of rails.
23 . The tool assembly of claim 14 , wherein the hidden object detector comprises a unit housing and a spring, wherein each rail includes an abutting surface, wherein the abutting surfaces define a plane, and wherein the spring permits movement of the unit housing relative to the rails in a direction that is orthogonal to a direction at which the unit housing slides on the ways and the plane that is defined by the abutting surfaces.
24 . A tool assembly comprising:
a frame having a pair of rails that define a set of ways, a first one of the rails having an internal wall that is partly exposed; a level sensor mounted to the frame; a pair of suction cups coupled to the frame; a hidden object detector slidably mounted on the ways; a display member mounted to the exposed portion of the internal wall; a hidden object marker slidably disposed on the frame; and a marking unit coupled to the hidden object detector and disposed in-line with the display member, the marking unit being activate-able to form a mark on the display member.Cited by (0)
