Straw Holder Integrated with a Beverage Container

Abstract

A beverage container having a mouth includes a straw holder having a straw support portion dimensioned for placement across the mouth of the container and comprising an aperture designed to receive a straw therethrough and support the straw with respect to the straw support portion. A first retaining portion of the straw holder is connected to the straw support portion and connected or connectable to the container. The straw support portion being movably arranged on the first connecting portion for moving from a first position to a second position relative to the first retaining portion. The aperture for receiving the straw is aligned with the mouth of the container when the first connecting portion is in a connected position on the container.

1 . A beverage drip protector, comprising:
 a retaining portion defining a first hole for receiving a neck of a beverage container therethrough; and   an absorbent layer arranged on said retaining portion and covering said first hole, said absorbent layer having a second hole in the area of said first hole allowing the neck of the beverage container to extend therethrough such that the absorbent layer rests against the sides of the neck to absorb drips, said retaining portion further comprising at least one of a third hole dimensioned and arranged for receiving a cap of the beverage container and a detachable ad area displaying an advertisement or a label.   
     
     
         2 . The beverage drip protector of  claim 1 , wherein said retaining portion comprises said detachable ad area and said ad area is connected to the retaining portion using perforations. 
     
     
         3 . The beverage drip protector of  claim 2 , wherein said ad area includes a label corresponding to the content of the beverage container. 
     
     
         4 . The beverage drip protector of  claim 2 , wherein said ad area includes one of a coupon and an advertisement for other goods. 
     
     
         5 . The beverage drip protector of  claim 1 , wherein said retaining portion comprises a tab area with said third hole. 
     
     
         6 . The beverage drip protector of  claim 1 , wherein said retaining portion is detachable connected to the beverage container so that it is readily available for use at the time the beverage container is opened. 
     
     
         7 . The beverage drip protector of  claim 1 , further comprising a cover portion connected to said retaining portion, said cover portion arranged to circumferentially surround the beverage container and cover at least a portion of the sides of the beverage container.
