Electronic device having backboard assembly
Abstract
An electronic device includes a printed circuit board, an electronic element, and a backboard assembly. The printed circuit board defines a plurality of first through holes. The electronic element is mounted on a top surface of the printed circuit board. The backboard is assembly secured to a bottom surface of the printed circuit board. The backboard assembly includes a back plate, an electrically insulative sheet, and a connection element. The electrically insulative sheet defines a plurality of second through holes. The connection element includes a plurality of first engaging structures on a first side thereof to engage with the back plate and a plurality of first clasps on a second side of the connection element opposing to the first side to engage with the electrically insulative sheet.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An electronic device comprising:
a printed circuit board defining a plurality of first through holes; an electronic element mounted on a top surface of the printed circuit board; and a backboard assembly secured to a bottom surface of the printed circuit board, the backboard assembly comprising:
a back plate;
an electrically insulative sheet defining a plurality of second through holes; and
a connection element comprising a plurality of first engaging structures on a first side thereof to engage with the back plate and a plurality of first clasps on a second side of the connection element opposing to the first side to engage with the electrically insulative sheet;
wherein the first clasps of the connection element extend through the second through holes of the electrically insulative sheet and the first through holes of the printed circuit board and clasp edges defining the first through holes of the printed circuit board, respectively.
2 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the connection element defines therein a plurality of third through holes corresponding to the first through holes of printed circuit and the second through holes of the electrically insulative sheet, respectively; each of the first clasps of the connection element comprise a semi-cylinder shaped extension part extending downwardly from an edge defining a corresponding second through hole and a semicircular flange extending outwardly from a free, bottom end of the extension part.
3 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the connection element comprises two opposite first engaging parts and two opposite second engaging parts to enclose a first central opening; the back plate comprises two opposite first supporting portions and two opposite second supporting portions to enclose a second central opening in vertical alignment with the first central opening of the connection element; two of the first clasps are formed on each of the first engaging parts of the connection element.
4 . The electronic device of claim 3 , wherein the first engaging structures of the connection element comprises two separated second clasps protruding from each of the first engaging parts and located at the first side of the connection element, each of the first supporting portions of the back plate defines two separated first clasping holes, and the two first clasps engage in the corresponding two first clasping holes, respectively.
5 . The electronic device of claim 4 , wherein the first engaging structures of the connection element further comprises a block protruding from each of the first engaging parts and located at the first side of the connection element, the block is positioned between the two first clasps of the first engaging, and each of the first supporting portions of the back plate defines a cutout corresponding to the block of the respective first engaging part of the connection element.
6 . The electronic device of claim 5 , wherein the second engaging structures of the connection element comprises a third clasp protruding from each of the second engaging parts and located at the first side of the connection element, each of the second supporting portions of the back plate defines a second clasping hole corresponding to the second clasp each of the second engaging parts of the connection element.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
