Abstract
A display unit in which the view angle is limited and the front luminance is improved. The display unit includes a display device, and a light guiding part which is provided to face the display device. The light guiding part, has an incident face facing the display device, an emitting face, a reflective surface on a side thereof, and a cross section expanding from the incident face to the emitting face.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A display unit comprising:
a display device; a substrate opposite the display device; a light guiding part in the substrate; and a reflective surface on a side face of the light guiding part, wherein,
the reflective surface is tilted with respect to a line through the display device.
2 . The display unit of claim 1 , wherein the reflective surface is made of a metal material.
3 . The display unit of claim 2 , wherein the metal material is a dielectric, Al, Ag, an alloy of Al, an alloy of Ag.
4 . The display unit of claim 1 , wherein the reflective surface comprising a plurality of layers.
5 . The display unit of 1 , wherein the substrate is a sealing substrate.
6 . The display unit of claim 1 , wherein the light guiding part has an extent along the line through the display device that is greater than an extent of the reflective surface along the line through the display device.
7 . The display unit of claim 1 , comprising an intermediate material between the display device and the substrate.
8 . The display unit of claim 7 , wherein the intermediate material is an adhesive agent.
9 . The display unit of claim 8 , wherein the reflective surface contacts the adhesive agent.
10 . The display unit of claim 2 , wherein the refractive indices of a portion inside of the metal material and of the light guiding part are different.
11 . The display unit of claim 1 , wherein the display device is an organic light emitting device including an organic layer having a light emitting layer between a first electrode and a second electrode.
12 . The display unit of claim 11 , wherein the display device has a resonator structure in which light generated in the light emitting layer is resonated between a first end and a second end.
13 . The display unit of claim 1 , comprising a driving substrate on which the display device is carried, wherein the substrate opposite the display device is a sealing substrate that is positioned opposing a side of the driving substrate on which the display device is carried.
14 . The display unit of claim 1 , wherein the light guiding part has a surface facing the display device.
15 . The display unit of claim 14 , wherein the surface of the light guiding part facing the display device abuts the display device.
16 . The display unit of claim 2 , wherein a portion of the metal material overlaps the display device in cross section view.
17 . The display unit of claim 16 , comprising a wiring configured in the display device side and the portion formed by the metal material ( 54 ) is in the opposite substrate side.
18 . The display unit of claim 1 , wherein the reflective face is on a pillar region in the substrate.
19 . A display unit comprising:
a display device with a plurality of pixels; a substrate opposing the display device; a light guiding part in the substrate; and a reflective surface on a side face of the light guiding part, wherein, the reflective is positioned between pixels.
20 . The display unit of claim 19 , wherein the reflective surface is tilted with respect to a line perpendicular to the substrate.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
