Abstract

A note pad is attached to a device having a handle and a base. Kinetic force is applied through the device to stun or crush a target pest between a top sheet of the note pad and a wall or floor. The top sheet does not have previously applied adhesive for trapping insects, and hence does not generally adhere to the wall or floor. The note pad top sheet can be removed, wrapped around the target's remains, and placed in a wastebasket for disposal.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 20 . (canceled)

         21 . A method for smashing target creatures such as spiders and insects, the method comprising the steps of:
 obtaining a device which has the following components:
 a base having a stack attachment area;
 a handle secured to the base; and
 a sheet stack including at least one disposable paper sheet having a note area which is free of adhesive, the sheet stack attached to the base stack attachment area;
   gripping the device handle; and applying pressure with the device to the adhesive-free note area of a top disposable paper sheet of the sheet stack to press the top disposable paper sheet against a target creature and smash the target creature, thereby stunning, disabling, or killing the target creature.

         22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the method further comprises forming a concavity with the top disposable paper sheet around at least a portion of the smashed target creature.

         23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the method further comprises removing the top disposable paper sheet from the sheet stack after smashing the target creature.

         24 . The method of claim 23 , further comprising disposing of the removed top disposable paper sheet together with at least a portion of the target creature.

         25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the method further comprises reloading the device by attaching a second sheet stack to the base.

         26 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the gripping step comprises placing a finger within a finger ring of the handle.

         27 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the gripping step comprises placing at least two fingers within finger rings in a knuckle duster arrangement of the handle.

         28 - 32 . (canceled)

         33 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the step of applying pressure comprises a steamroller-like rolling fist movement.

         34 . The method of claim 21 , further comprising tracking a position of the target creature.

         35 . The method of claim 21 , further comprising cleaning remains of the target creature from a surface on which the target creature was smashed.

         36 . The method of claim 21 , wherein obtaining the device comprises obtaining a device whose sheet stack includes sticky write-on notes.

         37 . The method of claim 21 , wherein obtaining the device comprises obtaining a device whose sheet stack includes repositionable notes.

         38 . The method of claim 21 , wherein obtaining the device comprises obtaining a device whose sheet stack includes page markers.

         39 . The method of claim 21 , wherein obtaining the device comprises obtaining a device whose sheet stack includes disposable paper sheets imprinted with at least one image.

         40 . The method of claim 21 , wherein obtaining the device comprises obtaining a device whose sheet stack includes a note pad of sheets held together with a low bond adhesive.

         41 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the step of applying pressure comprises receiving hand protection from a cushion of the device.

         42 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the step of applying pressure comprises receiving hand protection from a resilient material of the device.

         43 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the step of applying pressure comprises receiving hand protection from a spring mechanism of the device.

         44 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the step of applying pressure comprises punching.

         45 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the obtaining step comprises attaching the sheet stack to the base stack attachment area.
