Abstract
A battery pack can be mounted to and removed from at least one of a fan main body and a support device at least when the fan main body is supported on an installation surface via the support device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fan comprising:
a main body having an electric motor, a fan blade assembly rotatably driven by the electric motor, and a fan guard for covering the fan blade assembly; a support device configured to support the main body and having a contact surface for contacting an installation surface, so that the main body can be supported on the installation surface via the support device with the contact surface contacting the installation surface; a battery pack storing an electric power to be supplied to the electric motor; and a battery mount device configured to be able to mount the battery pack to at least one of the main body and the support device and to remove the battery pack from the at least one of the main body and the support device in a state that the main body is supported on the installation surface via the support device.
2 . The battery powered fan as in claim 1 , wherein the battery mount device is provided on at least one of the main body and the support device.
3 . The fan as in claim 2 , wherein the support device includes at least one leg and a base portion, and the at least one leg is connected between the main body and the base portion.
4 . The fan as in claim 3 , wherein the battery mount device is provided on the base portion and is disposed at an upper part of the base portion.
5 . The fan as in claim 2 , wherein the battery mount device is configured such that the battery pack is mounted to and removed from the battery mount device in opposite directions that are substantially parallel to the installation surface.
6 . The fan as in claim 3 , wherein the battery mount device is provided on the base portion and is disposed at a lateral side part of the base portion.
7 . The fan as in claim 3 , wherein the battery mount device is provided on the at least one leg.
8 . The fan as in claim 2 , wherein the main body further includes a handle for carrying around the fan, and wherein the battery mount device is provided on the handle.
9 . The fan as in claim 2 , wherein the battery mount device is disposed at a position within a path of flow of air produced by the rotation of the fan blade assembly.
10 . The fan as in claim 9 , wherein the battery mount device is provided on the fan guard.
11 . The fan as in claim 1 , wherein the fan is configured to be able to selectively receive a supply of electric power from an AC power source and the battery pack.
12 . The fan as in claim 2 , wherein the fan is configured to be compatible with two or more battery packs having different rating voltages.
13 . The fan as in claim 1 , wherein an outer circumference of the fan guard is covered with an elastomeric material.
14 . The fan as in claim 3 , further comprising an auxiliary leg extending from the base portion.
15 . The fan as in claim 14 , wherein the at least one leg is tiltable relative to the base portion, so that the auxiliary leg can be folded over the main body.
16 . A fan comprising:
a main body having an electric motor and a fan blade assembly rotatably driven by the electric motor; a support device configured to support the main body; and a battery mount device provided on at least one of the main body and the support device, wherein the battery mount device is configured to be able to mount and remove a battery pack at least when the main body is supported on an installation surface via the support device.
17 . A fan comprising:
a main body having an electric motor and a fan blade assembly rotatably driven by the electric motor; a support device configured to support the main body and having a contact surface for contacting an installation surface, so that the main body can be supported on the installation surface via the support device with the contact surface contacting the installation surface; wherein the support device includes a base portion and at least one leg connecting between the main body and the base portion; and a battery mount device provided on the base portion and configured to be able to mount and remove a battery pack substantially in a horizontal direction when the main body is supported on the installation surface.
18 . The fan as in claim 17 , wherein the at least one leg comprises two legs, and the base portion extends between the two legs, and each of the two legs has the contact surface.
19 . The fan as in claim 18 , wherein the two legs are tiltable relative to the base portion.
20 . A fan comprising:
a main body having an electric motor and a fan blade assembly rotatably driven by the electric motor; a support device configured to support the main body and having a contact surface for contacting an installation surface, so that the main body can be supported on the installation surface via the support device with the contact surface contacting the installation surface; wherein the support device includes at least one leg having the contact surface and connected to the main body; and a battery mount device disposed at a lateral side surface of the at least one leg and configured to be able to mount and remove a battery pack.
21 . The fan as in claim 20 , wherein the battery mount device is configured to be able to mount and remove the battery pack substantially in a vertical direction when the main body is supported on the installation surface.
22 . A fan comprising:
a main body having an electric motor and a fan blade assembly rotatably driven by the electric motor; a support device configured to support the main body and having a contact surface for contacting an installation surface, so that the main body can be supported on the installation surface via the support device with the contact surface contacting the installation surface; wherein the main body further includes a handle for carrying the fan; and a battery mount device provided on the handle and configured to be able to mount and remove a battery pack.
23 . The fan as in claim 22 , wherein the battery mount device is configured to be able to mount and remove the battery pack substantially in a horizontal direction when the main body is supported on the installation surface.
24 . A fan comprising:
a main body having an electric motor, a fan blade assembly rotatably driven by the electric motor, and a fan guard for covering the fan blade assembly; a support device configured to support the main body and having a contact surface for contacting an installation surface, so that the main body can be supported on the installation surface via the support device with the contact surface contacting the installation surface; and a battery mount device provided on the fan guard and configured to be able to mount and remove a battery pack.
25 . The fan as in claim 24 , wherein the battery mount device is configured to be able to mount and remove the battery pack substantially in a vertical direction when the main body is supported on the installation surface.Cited by (0)
