Abstract

To provide a paper feeding device that can switch setting information only with an easy action of sheet removal and setting in a predetermined position. The paper feeding device includes a first detecting unit that detects whether a sheet is set in a predetermined position, a second detecting unit that detects whether the sheet removal and setting is performed in the predetermined position after the setting of the sheet is detected by the first detecting unit, and a switching unit that switches setting information concerning the sheet when the sheet removal and setting is detected by the second detecting unit.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A paper feeding device comprising:
a placement unit on which a sheet is set; a sensor configured to detect the sheet set on the placement unit; a detecting unit configured to detect whether a sheet removal after a sheet setting and the sheet resetting is performed within a predetermined time based on the signal outputted from the sensor; and a switching unit configured to switch a sheet size setting information from a current sheet size to another sheet size when the sheet removal and the sheet resetting is detected by the detecting unit.

2 . A paper feeding device according to claim 1 , further comprising an output unit configured to output the sheet size setting information.

3 . A paper feeding device according to claim 2 , further comprising an indicating unit configured to acquire the sheet size setting information outputted by the output unit and indicate a sheet size on the base of the setting information acquired.

4 . A paper feeding device according to claim 1 , wherein the switching unit switches the sheet size setting information in A series.

5 . A paper feeding device according to claim 1 , wherein the switching unit switches the sheet size setting information in LT series.

6 . A paper feeding device according to claim 1 , wherein the switching unit switches the current sheet size setting information to another sheet size setting information which is larger than the current sheet size setting information and switches a series of the sheet from current one of A series and LT series to the other.

7 . A method for switching a sheet size setting information comprising:
detecting a sheet set in a predetermined position; detecting whether a sheet removal after a sheet setting and the sheet resetting is performed based on the detection result of whether or not the sheet is set in the predetermined position; and switching a sheet size setting information from a current sheet size to another sheet size when the sheet removal and the sheet resetting is detected.

8 . A method for switching a sheet size setting information according to claim 7 , further comprising outputting the sheet size setting information.

9 . A method for switching a sheet size setting information according to claim 8 , further comprising acquiring the sheet size setting information outputted and indicating a sheet size on the base of the setting information acquired.

10 . A paper feeding device according to claim 7 , wherein switching the sheet size setting information comprising switching the current sheet size setting information to another sheet size setting information which is larger than the current sheet size setting information and switching a series of sheet from current one of A series and LT series to the other.
