Interactive Athletic Training Log

Abstract

Systems and techniques for the collection and display of athletic information. Athletic data relating to a single person or group of people is collected at a central location, and subsequently displayed at a desired remote location so that the person or people can review and critique their performance. In addition, athletic data for multiple persons can be collected at a central location, and subsequently displayed to a user at a desired remote location, so that the user can compare his or her athletic activities to others.

1 . A system comprising:
 a team creation module configured to create a team of a plurality of athletes; and   a goal module configured to:
 determine a team training program for reaching a team goal; and 
 track progress of the team in reaching the team goal by tracking athletic activity performed by each of the plurality of athletes. 
   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the goal module is further configured to store a plurality of goals set for the team. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising a display module configured to generate a user interface displaying a list of the plurality of goals set for the team. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of goals includes a team challenge issued by at least one of another athlete and another team. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of goals includes a race and wherein the display module is further configured to display a route for the race. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising a privacy module configured to prevent non-team members from viewing team information. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 6 , wherein the team information includes the team goal. 
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 6 , wherein the team information includes identification information for the athletes on the team. 
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the team goal is defined based on user input from a coach of the team. 
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the training program is defined based on user input from a coach of the team. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the user input from the coach includes a reward for completing the team goal. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 10 , wherein the training program includes a team member specific training program. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising a display module configured to display information received from a coach of the team. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 13 , wherein the information includes comments from the coach. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 14 , wherein the comments are team member specific. 
     
     
         16 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising a sorting module configured to sort the plurality of athletes according to a parameter. 
     
     
         17 . The system of  claim 16 , wherein the parameter includes a physical attribute. 
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 17 , wherein the parameter includes height. 
     
     
         19 . The system of  claim 17 , wherein the parameter includes weight. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 16 , wherein the parameter includes age. 
     
     
         21 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising a search module configured to identify one or more teams based on one or more search parameters. 
     
     
         22 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the one or more search parameters include popularity. 
     
     
         23 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the one or more search parameters include a team name. 
     
     
         24 . A method comprising:
 creating, by a device, a team including a plurality of athletes;   determining, by the device, a team training program for reaching a team goal; and   tracking progress of the team in reaching the team goal by tracking athletic activity performed by each of the plurality of athletes.   
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 24 , further comprising setting team information to private, wherein setting the team information to private prevents non-team members from viewing the team information. 
     
     
         26 . The method of  claim 25 , wherein the team information includes identification information for the athletes on the team. 
     
     
         27 . The method of  claim 24 , further comprising:
 receiving user input from a coach of the team; and   determining the team goal based on the user input.   
     
     
         28 . The method of  claim 24 , wherein determining the training program is performed based on user input from a coach of the team. 
     
     
         29 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the training program includes a team member specific training program. 
     
     
         30 . The method of  claim 24 , further comprising displaying information received from a coach of the team. 
     
     
         31 . The method of  claim 30 , wherein the information includes comments from the coach. 
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 31 , wherein the comments are team member specific. 
     
     
         33 . The method of  claim 24 , further comprising sorting the plurality of athletes according to a parameter. 
     
     
         34 . The method of  claim 24 , further comprising:
 receiving a search request including one or more search parameters; and   identifying one or more teams based on the one or more search parameters.
