Abstract
A rotor blade for a wind turbine has an elongate blade base body with a plurality of connecting elements. Each connecting element comprises at least one axially extending connecting portion adapted to be connected with corresponding connecting portions of a rotor hub of the wind turbine. The connecting elements are connected in circumferential direction so as to build a closed ring-shape.

an elongate blade base body with a plurality of connecting elements, each of the plurality of connecting elements comprising an axially extending connecting portion configured to be connected with corresponding connecting portions of a rotor hub of a wind turbine, wherein the plurality of connecting elements are connected in circumferential arrangement to form a closed ring-shape.
2 . The rotor blade according to claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of connecting elements have a ring-segment-like shape.
3 . The rotor blade according to claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of connecting elements comprises a circumferentially extending connector configured to interconnect the respective connecting element with a mating circumferentially extending connector of the adjacent connecting element.

The rotor blade according to claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of connecting elements comprises a radially extending connector configured to connecting the respective connecting element with a corresponding radially extending connector of a ring member having a radially outer and/or inner position with respect to the connecting elements.
5 . The rotor blade according to claim 3 , wherein the circumferentially extending connector and/or radially extending connector is built as a form closure element.
6 . The rotor blade according to claim 5 , wherein the form closure element is built as a protrusion or a corresponding recess.
7 . The rotor blade according to claim 6 , wherein the protrusion is a dovetail-like protrusion or the recess is a dovetail-like recess.
8 . The rotor blade according to claim 6 , wherein the circumferentially extending connector is adjacently disposed to the radially outer or inner border of a respective connecting element with respect to the centre axis of the rotor blade.
9 . The rotor blade according to claim 1 , wherein a connecting element has a symmetrical or an asymmetrical shape with respect to its circumferentially aligned longitudinal axis.
