Printing tower of a press having a vertically movable platform and method for providing the platform
Abstract
A printing tower of a press can be divided into two side frames. A platform can be moved in a vertical direction between the two side frames. A securing device is provided and is constructed as a crash safeguard and is configured such that the securing device can be moved, together with the platform, in the vertical direction. The securing device can also be moved relative to the platform. A method for providing a platform of a printing tower of a press is also disclosed, which press is divided by one movable side frame being moved relative to another side frame. As a result, an intermediate space is provided. A lifting device is arranged in the intermediate space and may be released by the displacement conveying the platform into the intermediate space in the vertical direction into a desired position. Following the displacement of the mobile side frame, the securing device is moved relative to the platform and the securing device, together with the platform, can be moved in the vertical direction.
