Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of increasing muscle mass in combination with exercise, or decreasing the amount of muscle mass lost during time of lesser muscle activity comprising administering trigonelline and/or a salt or ester thereof, and observing the increase of muscle, with the proviso that if the trigonelline is present in a plant extract, then the extract is free from tropane alkaloids.
2 . A method according to claim 1 wherein the trigonelline and/or a salt or ester thereof is administered to a human.
3 . A method according to claim 1 wherein the trigonelline and/or salt or ester thereof is administered to a non-human animal.
4 . A method according to claim 1 wherein administration is during resistance training, bodybuilding, or weight training.
5 . A method according to claim 1 wherein the trigonelline and/or salt or ester thereof is administered in combination with a protein and/or vitamin(s).
