Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A system for transacting gift purchases, the system comprising:
 a processing component operable to:
 receive, from the first user device, a selection of a first gift recipient;
 provide, to the first user device, information regarding at least one type of gift;
 receive, from the first user device, a selection of a first type of gift from among the at least one type of gift; and
 cause a first gift to be mailed to a mailing address associated with the first gift recipient.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , the processor further operable to:
 receive, after receiving the selection of the first type of gift, an indication that the first gift is acceptable, wherein the indication that the first gift is acceptable is received from a second user device associated with the first gift recipient.

         3 . The system of claim 1 , the processor further operable to:
 receive, from a second user device associated with the first gift recipient, a selection of the first gift; and secure, after the selection of the first gift, a payment amount for the first gift from a user associated with the first user device.

         4 . The system of claim 1 , the processor further operable to:
 provide, to a second user device associated with the first gift recipient, information regarding the first type of gift, including information regarding the first gift; and receive, from the second user device, a selection of the first gift as an acceptable gift.

         5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one type of gift is determined based on gift preference data associated with the first gift recipient.

         6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first gift is determined based on gift preference data associated with the first gift recipient.

         7 . The system of claim 1 , the processor further operable to:
 receive, from the second user device, an indication that the first type of gift is unacceptable.

         8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein an identity of the first gift is not disclosed to the first user device.

         9 . The system of claim 1 , the processor further operable to:
 determine the mailing address associated with the first gift recipient, wherein the mailing address is not disclosed to the first user device.

         10 . A computer-implemented method for transacting gift purchases, the computer-implemented method comprising:
 receiving, from the first user device, a selection of a first gift recipient; providing, to the first user device, information regarding at least one type of gift; receiving, from the first user device, a selection of a first type of gift from among the at least one type of gift; and causing a first gift to be mailed to a mailing address associated with the first gift recipient.

         11 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 receiving, after the receiving a selection of a first type of gift, an indication that the first gift is acceptable, wherein the indication that the first gift is acceptable is received from a second user device associated with the first gift recipient and wherein the at least one type of gift is determined based on gift preference data associated with the first gift recipient; and

         12 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 receiving, from the second user device, an indication that the first type of gift is unacceptable; receiving, from a second user device associated with the first gift recipient, a selection of the first gift; and determining the mailing address associated with the first gift recipient, wherein the mailing address is not disclosed to the first user device, wherein an identity of the first gift is not disclosed to the first user device.

         13 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 providing, to a second user device associated with the first gift recipient, information regarding the first type of gift, including information regarding the first gift; receiving, from the second user device, a selection of the first gift as an acceptable gift; and securing, after the selection of the first gift, a payment amount for the first gift from a user associated with the first user device, wherein the first gift is determined based on gift preference data associated with the first gift recipient.

         14 . A computer program product comprising a computer usable medium having a computer readable program code embodied therein, said computer readable program code adapted to be executed to implement a method for transacting gift purchases, the method comprising:
 receiving, from the first user device, a selection of a first gift recipient;
 providing, to the first user device, information regarding at least one type of gift;
 receiving, from the first user device, a selection of a first type of gift from among the at least one type of gift; and
 causing a first gift to be mailed to a mailing address associated with the first gift recipient.

         15 . The computer program product of claim 14 , further comprising:
 receiving, after the receiving a selection of a first type of gift, an indication that the first gift is acceptable, wherein the indication that the first gift is acceptable is received from a second user device associated with the first gift recipient; and determining the mailing address associated with the first gift recipient, wherein the mailing address is not disclosed to the first user device, wherein an identity of the first gift is not disclosed to the first user device.

         16 . The computer program product of claim 14 , further comprising:
 receiving, from the second user device, an indication that the first type of gift is unacceptable; receiving, from a second user device associated with the first gift recipient, a selection of the first gift; and securing, after the selection of the first gift, a payment amount for the first gift from a user associated with the first user device, wherein the first gift is determined based on gift preference data associated with the first gift recipient.

         17 . The computer program product of claim 14 , further comprising:
 providing, to a second user device associated with the first gift recipient, information regarding the first type of gift, including information regarding the first gift; and receiving, from the second user device, a selection of the first gift as an acceptable gift, wherein the at least one type of gift is determined based on gift preference data associated with the first gift recipient.
