Abstract

A method for information delivery is disclosed. The method includes directing the display of a multimedia presentation in a first screen segment. The multimedia presentation is associated with a reference tag descriptive of an aspect thereof. An information link corresponding to the reference tag in a second screen segment is generated. The information link is contextually related to the multimedia presentation in accordance with the reference tag. Thereafter, a selection input of the information link is received from one of the viewers while mitigating obstruction of the displaying of the multimedia presentation. The selected information link and the identity of the viewer are associated as a marker.

18 . A method for bridging information presentation from a first medium to a second medium, comprising:
receiving from a client an informational identifier viewable on the first medium, the informational identifier including a first relational element, and a second relational element, each comprised of alphanumeric characters and symbols; querying a database of informational identifiers correlated to informational content on the second medium for the received first and second relational elements; and redirecting the client to the informational content corresponding to the first and second relational elements of the received advertisement identifier.

19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the first medium visually depicts one or more data elements.

20 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the first medium is selected from a group consisting of a magazine, a newspaper, a billboard, a projector screen, a flyer, a receipt, a painting, a photograph, product packaging and mobile device.

21 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the second medium is a computer network accessible database server that includes detailed information not available on the first medium.

22 . The method of claim 18 wherein the informational identifier includes a separator between the first and second relational identifier.

23 . A method for delivering information to a viewer of a static media presentation, the method comprising the steps of:
engaging the static media presentation; querying a code presented on the media presentation; engaging a computer network accessible interface associated with the static media presentation; viewing one or more data elements associated with the static media presentation via a computer network accessible interface on the internet accessible page; selecting one or more of the data elements; storing the data element as a marker in memory for retrieval; and viewing one or more markers on the computer network accessible interface.

24 . The method of claim 23 wherein the step of viewing one or more markers comprises the step of viewing one or more markers on a marker collection page.

25 . The method of claim 23 wherein the step of viewing the selected markers is performed after the step of engaging the static media presentation.

26 . The method of claim 23 wherein the engaging step comprises the step of engaging the static media presentation within a first: segment on the computer network accessible interface and the viewing data elements step comprises the step of viewing the data elements within a second segment of the computer network accessible interface.

27 . The method of claim 23 wherein a portion of the static media presentation has a reference tag descriptive of an aspect of the media presentation and the data element corresponds to the reference tag, the data element being contextually related to the media presentation.

28 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the second screen segment is different from the first screen segment.

29 . The method of claim 23 , further comprising the step of:
storing the marker into a database.

30 . The method of claim 23 wherein the code is an informational identifier including a first relational element and a second relational element, each comprised of alphanumeric characters and symbols.

31 . The method of claim 23 wherein engaging the static media presentation step comprises the step of engaging the static media presentation in a magazine, a newspaper, a billboard, a projector screen, a flyer, a receipt, a painting, a photograph, product packaging and mobile device.
