Abstract

A paper reversing assembly includes a paper roller, a driving member, and a plurality of balls. The paper roller includes a recess defined in an end portion thereof and a plurality of concave portions formed on the internal circumferential sidewall of the recess. The driving member is received in the recess and includes a plurality of lobes, which interact with the balls to allow the free rotation of the paper roller when the paper is being pulled out.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A paper reversing assembly for a printer, comprising:
 a plurality of balls; a paper roller including
 a recess defined in an end face thereof;
 and
 a plurality of concave portions recessed in an internal circumferential surface of the paper roller in the recess for engagingly receiving the balls therein, each concave portion including a first surface tangentially adjoining to the inner circumferential surface for guiding the ball to smoothly move into the concave portion, and a second surface steeply inclined relative to the inner circumferential surface; and
   a driving member configured for driving the paper roller to rotate therewith, the driving member including:
 a plurality of radially extending lobes, the lobes spaced from each other and engagingly received in the recess, each lobes having a curved surface at a first side and a substantially flat surface at an opposing second side thereof, the driving member configured for rotating in a rotating direction in the recess such that the balls are moved by the corresponding substantially flat surfaces of the lobes in the rotating direction and retained in the corresponding recesses, thus enabling the paper roller to rotate with the rotation of the driving member.

         2 . A printer comprising a paper reversing assembly of  claim 1 .
