Cross pendant

Abstract

The pendant of the present invention is a uniquely designed jewelry accessory in the form of a cross or a crucifix. The top part of the cross or crucifix is completely open, symbolizing the resurrection of the spirit of Jesus Christ after his body died on the cross. The pendant hangs from a chain that forms a triangular shape.

         8 . An article of jewelry comprising:
 a shaping element having a first end portion, a second end portion and a middle portion extending between said first end portion and said second end portion, the length of said shaping element forming the shape of a cross and also forming a single inner pass-through opening having the shape of a cross, wherein said first end portion and said second end portion are located at an uppermost position of said cross, unconnected and separated by said single inner pass-through opening.

The article of  claim 8 , further comprising a first chain element coupled to said first end portion; a second chain element coupled to said second end portion; and a necklace hanging element coupled to both said first chain element and said second chain element, respectively. 
     
     
         11 . The article of  claim 8 , further comprising a symbolic element positioned within said single pass-through opening. 
     
     
         12 . The article of  claim 11 , wherein said symbolic element comprises a figure representing Jesus Christ. 
     
     
         13 . The article of  claim 8 , wherein said first end portion, said second end portion and said middle portion are made of a single piece of elongated material. 
     
     
         14 . The article of  claim 13 , wherein said single piece of elongated material comprises at least one of: metal, metal alloys, wood, plastic.
