Stationary exercise device

Abstract

An exercise device includes two front cranks rotatably coupled to an upright support of a base, two handles pivotally coupled to the upright support, two foot supports each having a front portion coupled to the front cranks with a link and a rear portion coupled to an upright post with a connecting member, a foot pedal supported on each of the foot supports and coupled to the lower portion of the handle with a connecting lever, two rear cranks coupled to the upright post and each having a pivot rod, and a pair of coupling levers coupled between the pivot rods of the rear cranks and the connecting members for pivotally coupling the connecting members together.

1 . An exercise device comprising:
 a base including an upright support extended upwardly from said base, and each including a rear portion having an upright post,   a spindle disposed on said upright support,   two first cranks rotatably coupled to said upright support with a shaft, said first cranks each including a pivot rod attached to said first crank and spaced away from said shaft,   a wheel rotatably attached to said upright support with said shaft,   a rotary member rotatably attached to said upright support with an axle and coupled to said wheel with a coupling device,   two handles including a middle portion attached to said spindle for allowing said handles to be pivotally coupled to said upright support with said spindle and for allowing said handles to be pivoted and swung relative to said upright support of said base, said handles each including a hand grip provided on an upper portion for being grasped or held by a user and each including a lower portion,   two foot supports each including a front portion pivotally coupled to said pivot rod of said first cranks with a link for allowing said front portions of said foot supports to be moved cyclically relative to said upright support of said base by said first cranks, and each including a rear portion pivotally coupled to said upright post of said base with a connecting member for allowing said rear portions of said foot supports to be swung relative to said upright post of said base,   a foot pedal pivotally supported on each of said foot supports with a pivot rod for supporting the user, said lower portions of said handles each being pivotally coupled to said foot pedals of said foot supports with a connecting lever, and said connecting lever being pivotally coupled to said foot pedal with a first pivot pole,   two second cranks rotatably coupled to said upright post with a second pivot pole, and each including a pivot rod attached to said second crank and spaced away from said second pivot pole, and   a pair of coupling levers coupled between said second pivot rods of said second cranks and said connecting members respectively for pivotally coupling said connecting members together.
