Cloud data persistence engine
Abstract
Various cloud data persistence systems and methods are described. In some embodiments, a client may request a data object from a server. This data object may contain a link to a media asset and other information linked to the video file, such as a title and duration. This media asset may be stored in a different location. If this first server does not have the data object stored locally, it may contact a second server to determine if it has the data object stored. If the second server does not have the data object stored, it may contact a data object origin server, which may have all existing data objects stored. This data object origin server may then send the data object to the second server, which may in turn transmit the data object to the first server. The first server may then transmit the data object to the client.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . A data distribution system, comprising:
a first computer system configured to store a first plurality of data objects, wherein:
each data object of the first plurality of data objects comprises information about a media asset of a plurality of media assets, and
content of each media asset is selected from the group consisting of:
video, audio, and video with audio; and a second computer system configured to:
store a second plurality of data objects; and
request a data object from the first computer system if the data object is not part of the second plurality of data objects.
3 . The data distribution system of claim 2 , comprising:
a third computer system configured to store a third plurality of data objects and is configured to request a data object from the second computer system if the data object is not part of the third plurality of data objects.
4 . The data distribution system of claim 2 , wherein each data object of the second plurality of data objects and the third plurality of data objects is part of the first plurality of data objects.
5 . The data distribution system of claim 4 , wherein the third computer system is further configured to:
receive a request from an end user to modify a data object; and transmit a modification to the first computer system.
6 . The data distribution system of claim 5 , wherein the first computer system is further configured to modify the data object in response to receiving the request.
7 . The data distribution system of claim 6 , wherein the first computer system is further configured to transmit a notification to at least one computer system indicating the data object has been modified.
8 . The data distribution system of claim 7 , wherein the notification does not indicate the modification.
9 . The data distribution system of claim 2 , wherein each data object of the first plurality of data objects comprises a universal resource locator to a corresponding media asset and a title of the corresponding media asset.
10 . The data distribution system of claim 2 , wherein each data object of the first plurality of data objects comprises keywords and an indication of a duration of the corresponding media asset.
11 . A method for data distribution, the method comprising
storing, using a first computer system, a first plurality of data objects, wherein:
each data object of the first plurality of data objects comprises information about a media asset of a plurality of media assets, and
content of each media asset is selected from the group consisting of:
video, audio, and video with audio; and storing, using a second computer system, a second plurality of data objects; and requesting, by the second computer system, a data object from the first computer system if the data object is not part of the second plurality of data objects.
12 . The method for data distribution of claim 11 , further comprising:
storing, using a third computer system, a third plurality of data objects; and in response to a request for a data object, requesting, by the third computer system, the data object from the second computer system if the data object is not part of the third plurality of data objects.
13 . The method for data distribution of claim 11 , wherein each data object of the second plurality of data objects and the third plurality of data objects is part of the first plurality of data objects.
14 . The method for data distribution of claim 13 , further comprising:
receiving, by the third computer system, a request from an end user to modify a data object; and transmitting, by the third computer system, a modification to the first computer system.
15 . The method for data distribution of claim 14 , further comprising: modifying, by the first computer system, the data object in response to receiving the request from the third computer system.
16 . The method for data distribution of claim 15 , further comprising: transmitting, by the first computer system, a notification to at least one computer system indicating the data object has been modified.
17 . The method for data distribution of claim 16 , wherein the notification does not indicate the modification.
18 . The method for data distribution of claim 11 , wherein each data object of the first plurality of data objects comprises a universal resource locator to a corresponding media asset and a title of the corresponding media asset.
19 . The method for data distribution of claim 11 , wherein each data object of the first plurality of data objects comprises keywords and an indication of a duration of the corresponding media asset.
20 . An apparatus for data distribution, the apparatus comprising
means for storing, at a first location, a first plurality of data objects, wherein:
each data object of the first plurality of data objects comprises information about a media asset of a plurality of media assets, and
content of each media asset is selected from the group consisting of:
video, audio, and video with audio; and means for storing, at a second location, a second plurality of data objects; and means for requesting a data object from the first location if the data object is not part of the second plurality of data objects at the first location.
21 . The apparatus for data distribution of claim 20 , further comprising:
means for storing, at a third location, a third plurality of data objects; and means for requesting, in response to a request for a data object, from the third location, the data object from the second computer system if the data object is not part of the third plurality of data objects.Cited by (0)
