Abstract

An example exercise apparatus includes a processor, a movable element, a panel including a display and at least one input device, and wireless communication circuitry configured to receive exercise program information and mental activity data. The processor is configured to use exercise program information to control a parameter associated with the movable element during use of the exercise apparatus and to control the display to display the mental activity data during the use of the exercise apparatus.

         1 : An exercise apparatus comprising:
 a processor;   a movable element;   a panel including a display and at least one input device; and   wireless communication circuitry configured to receive exercise program information and mental activity data,   wherein the processor is configured to use exercise program information to control a parameter associated with the movable element during use of the exercise apparatus and to control the display to display the mental activity data during the use of the exercise apparatus.   
     
     
         2 : The exercise apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the mental activity data comprises text. 
     
     
         3 : The exercise apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the mental activity data comprises news headlines. 
     
     
         4 : The exercise apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the mental activity data comprises sports scores. 
     
     
         5 : The exercise apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the mental activity data comprises stock market prices. 
     
     
         6 : The exercise apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the mental activity data comprises weather reports. 
     
     
         7 : The exercise apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the mental activity data comprises advertisements. 
     
     
         8 : The exercise apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the processor controls the wireless communication circuitry to contact a remote computer which sends the exercise program information in response to the contact. 
     
     
         9 : The exercise apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the processor controls the wireless communication circuitry to contact a remote computer which sends the mental activity data in response to the contact.
