Abstract

A modular shoe system having interchangeable uppers and outsoles, comprising an internal support structure, a plurality of interchangeable first removable covers and a plurality of interchangeable second removable covers. The internal support structure includes a midsole, a heel counter and a toe box. The internal support structure has a front portion including the toe box and a rear portion including the heel counter. Each of the first removable covers includes a front upper and a front outsole. Each of the first removable covers is configured for being alternately removably attached to the front portion. Each of the second removable covers includes a rear upper and a rear outsole. Each of the second removable covers is configured for being alternately removably attached to the rear portion.

1 . A modular shoe, comprising:
 an internal support structure, the internal support structure comprising an insole having at least a vertical heel support portion and a toe box, the internal support structure having a longitudinal axis running substantially from said heel support portion to the toe box; and   a removable cover, the removable cover comprising an outsole and a top cover portion, the removable cover having a longitudinal axis running substantially from a heel portion to a toe portion, the removable cover configured to removably couple to the internal support structure when the internal support structure is positioned within the removable cover, the removeable coupling being by application of pressure by a wearer to the internal support structure to attach at least the heel support portion and the toe box of the internal support structure to a corresponding area of an inner surface of the removable cover.   
     
     
         2 . The modular shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the top cover portion further includes a fastening arrangement for removably coupling the cover to a user's foot. 
     
     
         3 . The modular shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the removable cover further comprises at least one filler section inside the removable cover. 
     
     
         4 . The modular shoe of  claim 3 , wherein the at least one filler section is located between the toe box and the removable cover to define a shape of the toe portion. 
     
     
         5 . The modular shoe of  claim 4 , wherein the shape of the toe portion is rounded. 
     
     
         6 . The modular shoe of  claim 4 , wherein the shape of the toe portion is flat. 
     
     
         7 . The modular shoe of  claim 4 , wherein the shape of the toe portion is pointed.
