Abstract
A wax burning system provides a melting plate and burning assembly for maintaining a burning flame to consume substantially all of the provided wax in the system.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A wax burning system comprising:
a melting grate within a bowl housing, a hollow-core wick extending above the melting grate, wherein a solid fuel may be placed on the melting grate for supply of fuel to a flame on the hollow-core wick.
2 . The wax burning system according to claim 1 , further comprising a secondary starter wick located in proximity to the hollow-core wick, such that ignition of the starter wick will cause ignition of the hollow-core wick.
3 . The wax burning system according to claim 1 , wherein the hollow-core wick is surrounded by a heat-conductive wick sheath.
4 . The wax burning system according to claim 1 , wherein the hollow-core wick has an upper end adjacent to a flame and a lower end for receiving liquid fuel
5 . The wax burning system according to claim 4 , wherein the hollow-core wick includes notched sections at the upper end.
6 . A method of fueling a flame comprising:
adding solid fuel into a basin having a melting plate for heating the solid fuel to a liquid state, providing a source of ignition to a wick adjacent to the melting plate.
7 . The method of fueling a flame according to claim 6 , wherein the solid fuel may be added while the flame is burning.
8 . The method of fueling a flame according to claim 6 , wherein the source of ignition is provided to a starter wick, which is in close proximity to the wick to then provide ignition to the wick.Cited by (0)
