Abstract
Disclosed are systems and method for synchronizing configuration parameters on a server with a database of stored configuration parameters. One such method includes updating an application configuration parameter on a network server. The update occurs in response to receiving an update of a corresponding stored application configuration parameter in a database. The update is initiated by a particular customer of a web hosting provider. Each application configuration parameter defines at least in part a quantity of a resource on the server available to the particular customer of a web hosting provider.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method comprising:
updating an application configuration parameter on a network server in response to receiving an update of a corresponding stored application configuration parameter in a database, the update initiated by a particular customer of a web hosting provider, wherein each application configuration parameter defines at least in part a quantity of a resource on the server available to the particular customer of a web hosting provider.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the updating further comprises:
updating the corresponding stored application configuration parameter in the database in response to a request from the particular user; responsive to the updating of the corresponding stored application configuration parameter, triggering a daemon to run on the network server.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the database is separate from the network server.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the quantity of the resource comprises an amount of disk space.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the quantity of the resource comprises a network address.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the quantity of the resource comprises an amount of memory space.
7 . A method comprising:
updating an application program configuration parameter on a server in response to receiving an update of a corresponding stored application program configuration parameter in a database, the update initiated by a particular customer of a web hosting provider, wherein each application program configuration parameter defines at least in part a resource on the server that is made available to the particular customer of a web hosting provider.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the database is separate from the server.
9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the resource comprises communication bandwidth of the server.
10 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the resource comprises processor capacity of the server.
11 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the resource comprises disk space on the server.
12 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the resource comprises a network address of the server.
13 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the resource comprises memory on the server.
14 . A method comprising:
updating an application program configuration parameter on a server in response to receiving an update of a corresponding stored application program configuration parameter in a database, the update initiated by a particular customer of a web hosting provider, wherein each application program configuration parameter describes at least in part a resource on the server that is made available to the particular customer of a web hosting provider.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the database is separate from the server.
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the resource comprises communication bandwidth of the server.
17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the resource comprises processor capacity of the server.
18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the resource comprises disk space on the server.
19 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the resource comprises a network address of the server.
20 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the resource comprises memory on the server.Cited by (0)
