Abstract
A person-support apparatus can include a frame and a siderail. The frame is configured to support a person thereon. The siderail is coupled to the frame. The siderail includes a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is oriented such that the first surface faces towards a person supported on the person-support apparatus and the second surface is oriented such that the second surface faces away from the person supported on the person-support apparatus. At least one of the first surface and the second surface has a recessed portion that defines a storage area configured to receive and removably retain one or more objects therewithin.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 39 . (canceled)
40 . A perimeter panel assembly, comprising:
a perimeter panel including a module receiving portion; a removable module configured to be coupled to the perimeter panel via the docking portion, the removable module including a housing comprising a front portion and a docking portion, the front portion and the docking portion cooperate to define a partially enclosed chamber there between, the front portion including an opening to permit access to the chamber, the docking portion being shaped to engage the module receiving portion and provide an interference fit to removably couple the removable module to the perimeter panel such that the chamber is positioned substantially within the foot-print of the module receiving portion; and a sanitizing fabric positionable within the chamber and configured to be dispensed by the removable module.
41 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 40 , wherein the sanitizing fabric includes antimicrobial properties.
42 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 40 , wherein the opening is elliptically shaped.
43 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 40 , wherein the coupling portion includes a retainer configured to engage the module receiving portion to generate the interference fit.
44 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 43 , wherein the retainer is biased by a spring.
45 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 40 , wherein the module receiving portion is recessed into the perimeter panel.
46 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 40 , wherein the module receiving portion includes an opening through the perimeter panel, the removable module being inserted into the opening to generate the interference fit.
47 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 46 , wherein the opening cooperates with a perimeter edge of the perimeter panel to define a grip.
48 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 47 , wherein the coupling portion is shaped to mimic the contour of the grip.
49 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 40 , wherein the front portion and the coupling portion cooperate to removably retain the sanitizing fabric within the chamber.
50 . A perimeter panel assembly, comprising:
a perimeter panel including a module receiving portion; a removable module configured to be coupled to the perimeter panel via the docking portion, the removable module including a housing comprising a front portion and a docking portion that cooperate to define only one chamber there between, the front portion including an opening to permit access to the chamber, the chamber is positioned substantially within the foot-print of the module receiving portion when the removable module is coupled to the perimeter panel; and a sanitizing fabric positionable within the chamber and configured to be dispensed by the removable module.
51 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 50 , wherein the sanitizing fabric includes antimicrobial properties.
52 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 50 , wherein the opening is elliptically shaped.
53 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 50 , wherein the coupling portion includes a retainer configured to engage the module receiving portion to generate the interference fit.
54 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 53 , wherein the retainer is biased by a spring.
55 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 50 , wherein the module receiving portion is recessed into the perimeter panel.
56 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 50 , wherein the module receiving portion includes an opening through the perimeter panel, the removable module being inserted into the opening to generate the interference fit.
57 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 56 , wherein the opening cooperates with a perimeter edge of the perimeter panel to define a grip.
58 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 57 , wherein the coupling portion is shaped to mimic the contour of the grip.
59 . The perimeter panel assembly of claim 50 , wherein the perimeter panel is coupled to a person support apparatus comprising a lower frame, at least one lift mechanism coupled to the lower frame, and an upper frame movably supported above the lower frame by the lift mechanism.Cited by (0)
