Golf club head and ornament

Abstract

This invention provides a golf club head to which an ornament is fixed. The ornament includes a cup-shaped metal shell member, a solid elastic body which has a mounting surface fitted in the golf club head, and fills the interior of the shell member, and an adhesive layer which bonds the inner surface of the shell member to the elastic body.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A golf club head to which an ornament is fixed,
 the ornament comprising   a cup-shaped metal shell member,   a solid elastic body which has a mounting surface fitted in the golf club head, and fills an interior of said shell member, and   an adhesive layer which bonds an inner surface of said shell member to said elastic body.   
     
     
         2 . The head according to  claim 1 , wherein said shell member is made by electroforming. 
     
     
         3 . The head according to  claim 1 , wherein said elastic body is made of a resin mixed with a metal material. 
     
     
         4 . The head according to  claim 1 , wherein
 said shell member and said elastic body include holes, respectively, into which a bolt is to be inserted, and   the ornament is fixed to the golf club head by the bolt.   
     
     
         5 . The head according to  claim 1 , wherein said elastic body includes a gap portion separated from the inner surface of said shell member, and said adhesive layer includes a portion formed by an adhesive which fills said gap portion. 
     
     
         6 . An ornament fixed to a golf club head, the ornament comprising:
 a cup-shaped metal shell member;   a solid elastic body which has a mounting surface fitted in the golf club head, and fills an interior of said shell member; and   an adhesive layer which bonds an inner surface of said shell member to said elastic body.
