Abstract
The present invention encompasses albumin fusion proteins. Nucleic acid molecules encoding the albumin fusion proteins of the invention are also encompassed by the invention, as are vectors containing these nucleic acids, host cells transformed with these nucleic acids vectors, and methods of making the albumin fusion proteins of the invention and using these nucleic acids, vectors, and/or host cells. Additionally the present invention encompasses pharmaceutical compositions comprising albumin fusion proteins and methods of treating or preventing diseases, disorders or conditions related to diabetes mellitus using albumin fusion proteins of the invention.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 32 . (canceled)
33 . A method of treating a human comprising administering to said human an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising an albumin fusion protein comprising two tandemly oriented GLP-1(7-36(A8G)) polypeptides fused via its C-terminus to the N-terminus of albumin comprising SEQ ID NO:327 wherein said human is obese.
34 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said albumin fusion protein consists of two tandemly oriented GLP-1(7-36(A8G)) polypeptides fused via its C-terminus to the N-terminus of albumin comprising SEQ ID NO:327.
35 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition further comprises mannitol and polysorbate 80.
36 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition is buffered to pH 7.2.
37 . The method of claim 36 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition is buffered by a phosphate buffer.
38 . A method of treating obesity in a human comprising administering to said human a pharmaceutical composition comprising an albumin fusion protein produced by a host cell comprising construct ID 3070, which is contained in ATCC deposit No. PTA-4671.Cited by (0)
