Abstract

Energy harvesting systems are described in which electroactive materials, such as dielectric elastomers, may be utilized to absorb the shocks, bumps, and vibrations from the road or path to generate energy which is captured and stored for use in the vehicle to provide additional power for any number of uses. Other devices and systems. such as household appliances which dissipate vibrational energy, may also incorporate any number of the dielectric elastomer generators.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method of converting wind or ocean wave energy to electrical energy comprising harvesting the wind or ocean wave energy via one or more energy generators.

2 . An energy generating mount, wherein an output of the mount is adjustable based on temperature.

3 . An energy generating mount, wherein the mount is configured to work with piezoelectric or electroactive materials.

4 . An energy generating mount, wherein the mount is configured to generate energy and also store energy.

5 . A hybrid gas/dielectric system, wherein one or more dielectric elastomers in an energy generator are stretched and relaxed based on a gas input.
