Abstract

An apparatus management system includes a first apparatus; a second apparatus having an apparatus type different from the first apparatus; and an apparatus management configuration connected via a network with the first apparatus and the second apparatus, and managing the apparatuses. The apparatus management configuration includes a reception part that receives apparatus information that includes apparatus type identifiers for identifying the apparatus types of the first apparatus and the second apparatus; and a control part that carries out control to generate management information according to the apparatus types, based on the apparatus type identifiers.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus management system comprising:
 a first apparatus;   a second apparatus having an apparatus type different from the first apparatus; and   an apparatus management configuration connected via a network with the first apparatus and the second apparatus, and managing the apparatuses, wherein the apparatus management configuration comprises:
 a reception part that receives apparatus information that includes apparatus type identifiers for identifying the apparatus types of the first apparatus and the second apparatus; and 
 a control part that carries out control to generate management information according to the apparatus types, based on the apparatus type identifiers. 
   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus management system, as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein
 the apparatus management configuration further comprises:
 a first management information generation part that generates the management information of the first apparatus; and 
 a second management information generation part that generates the management information of the second apparatus, wherein 
 based on the apparatus type identifier, 
   the control part causes any one of the first management information generation part and the second management information generation part to generate the management information.   
     
     
         3 . The apparatus management system according to  claim 2 , wherein
 the reception part receives the apparatus information that includes customer identifiers of the apparatuses, apparatus identifiers for identifying the apparatuses and unique parameters of the apparatuses,   the apparatus management configuration further comprises:
 a first storage part that stores the apparatus information; and 
 a sorting part that sorts the apparatus information stored in the first storage part, for each customer, for each apparatus type and for each apparatus, based on the customer identifiers, the apparatus type identifiers and the apparatus identifiers, 
   the first management information generation part creates the management information for each first apparatus, for each customer, based on the apparatus information of the first apparatus of the apparatus information sorted by the sorted part, and   the second management information generation part creates the management information for each second apparatus, for each customer, based on the apparatus information of the second apparatus of the apparatus information sorted by the sorted part.   
     
     
         4 . The apparatus management system as claimed in  claim 3 , wherein
 the apparatus management configuration further comprises:
 a second storage part that stores the apparatus information sorted by the sorting part in files of the respective customers and the respective apparatus types, and 
   based on the files of the second storage part stored for each customer and for each apparatus type, the second management information generation part determines whether the apparatus information of the second apparatus exists, and, in a case where the apparatus information of the second apparatus exists, creates the management information for each second apparatus, for each customer, based on the apparatus information of the second apparatus.   
     
     
         5 . The apparatus management system as claimed in  claim 4 , wherein
 the second management information generation part determines whether the apparatus information of the second apparatus exists by determining whether a file name including an identifier of the second apparatus exists in the second storage part.   
     
     
         6 . The apparatus management system as claimed in  claim 4 , wherein
 the second management information generation part determines whether the apparatus information of the second apparatus exists using a number of the files stored in the second storage part for each apparatus type.   
     
     
         7 . An apparatus management method in an apparatus management system that comprises a first apparatus; a second apparatus having an apparatus type different from the first apparatus; and an apparatus management configuration connected via a network with the first apparatus and the second apparatus, and managing the apparatuses, the apparatus management method comprising:
 receiving, by the apparatus management configuration, apparatus information that includes apparatus type identifiers for identifying the apparatus types of the first apparatus and the second apparatus; and   carrying out, by the apparatus management configuration, control to generate management information according to the apparatus types, based on the apparatus type identifiers.   
     
     
         8 . A computer readable information recording medium storing an apparatus management program for controlling operations of an apparatus management configuration included in an apparatus management system that comprises: a first apparatus; a second apparatus having an apparatus type different from the first apparatus; and the apparatus management configuration connected via a network with the first apparatus and the second apparatus, and managing the apparatuses, the apparatus management program, when executed by one or more processors, performing:
 receiving apparatus information that includes apparatus type identifiers for identifying the apparatus types of the first apparatus and the second apparatus; and   carrying out control to generate management information according to the apparatus types, based on the apparatus type identifiers.
