Abstract

An apparatus having an excitation source that includes at least one laser diode and also having a handpiece with a disposable, bendable tip cannula is disclosed.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A handheld laser apparatus, comprising:
a housing configured to be held in a user's hand; a laser source disposed within the housing and configured to generate electromagnetic radiation; a processing device disposed within the housing and configured to control the laser source; a user interface disposed within the housing and configured to receive a user input and transmit the user input to the processing device; and an output configuration coupled to the laser source and configured to emit an ablating beam of electromagnetic radiation to a target.

3 . The handheld laser apparatus of claim 2 , further comprising:
a fluid source disposed within the housing; wherein the output configuration is further configured to emit fluid particles from the fluid source to the target.

4 . The handheld laser apparatus of claim 2 , further comprising:
a power source disposed in the housing.

5 . The handheld laser apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the user interface comprises a graphical user interface.

         6 . An apparatus, comprising:
an output configuration including an electromagnetic energy source configured to generate electromagnetic radiation and an optic output coupled to the electromagnetic energy source and configured to emit a beam of electromagnetic radiation to a target; and a housing including a processing device configured to control the electromagnetic energy source and a graphical user interface configured to receive user input to the processing device; wherein the housing is coupled to the output configuration and is configured to be worn on a part of a user's body.

7 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the housing is configured to be worn on the user's wrist.

8 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the housing is configured to be clipped on a garment worn by the user.

9 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the housing is configured to be worn on the user's head.

10 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the output configuration is configured to be attached to a user's finger.

11 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the output configuration is configured to be held in a user's hand.

12 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the housing is coupled to the output configuration over a wireless link.

13 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the housing is coupled to the output configuration over a wired link.
